It couldn't form words to express the feeling I was feeling. I stared at Rose and Massimo not knowing what to do. Rose pulled out two chairs and sat on one of them pointing to the other, "Sydney, what don't you sit?" I shook my head. "I'm fine, thanks. I'd rather stand." Rose nodded before sighing, "So, what do you want to know?" I scoffed, "How you two meet would be a start." I pointed towards Massimo and Rose.
Rose nodded as Massimo spoke, "I met Rose when we were younger. We knew each other because we were both Pogues. One night we got drunk and had a one-night stand. And then the rest of it is history." I nodded understanding what happened before asking Rose, "Why did you give me up? Why her?" Rose looked stunned for a second, not knowing what to say before answering, "I gave you up because I knew I wasn't ready to raise you and I was just starting to make a name for myself and I couldn't raise you right. Simon and Lucià were struggling to have a child so I gave you to them."
I chuckled softly, "So you thought that giving me away was better than raising me?!" I bit my cheek, knowing that I couldn't keep my mouth shut. Rose stood up and whipped my cheek with her thumb mumbling, "Don't cry." I didn't even realise I had been crying until she had mentioned it. She brought me into a hug, her hand holding the back of my head. I slowly wrapped my arms around her, not used to this form of affection from a parent. She pulled away, her hand resting on the side of my head. She smiled, "If you would like, you can stay with me for a bit. At Tannyhill." I smiled softly, "I would like that. A lot." She nodded, "Why don't you get your things and I'll wait right here."
I nodded and walked past her towards my room. As I closed the door, I took a deep breath. It was strange to find out that Rose Cameron or Lady Liberty as JJ said, was my mother of all people. As I finished packing all my things. I looked around the room making sure I had everything that I didn't take to Simon's. As I opened the door, I saw Massimo and Rose whispering. They looked very angry but stopped as soon as they saw me. Rose smiled, "Ready to go?" I nodded, "I'm ready." I picked up the bag Simon left for me near the couch. As I walked past Massimo I smiled, "I hope to see you soon." He smiled softly, "Me too Sydney." Rose opened the door for me and helped me put my bags in her car. I opened the passenger door and got into the car without a second thought. I needed to be with my mother, my real mother.

The drive to Tannyhill felt longer than ever. As we pulled into the driveway of the Cameron residents I saw how big it actually was. Rose pulled up to the front door and got out of the car. I followed suit, opening the door and getting my bags. Rose opened the door to the Cameron residents and took one bag from me. Footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs making me turn towards it. Rafe looked at me confused, asking, "What are you doing here, Syd?" I shrugged, "I'm your step-sister so I think I can be here." Rafe looked shocked by the news but shook his head and walked out the door. Rose pointed to the stairs, "Up the stairs and the second door on the right is yours." I smiled, "Thanks Rose." She smiled back, "You go up first, I don't want to overwhelm you." I reached over and took my bag from Rose and walked up the stairs.
