He had let one panel of floor to ceiling glass open downwards and stood at its center, taking in the beauty of the forest. The smell of damp soil and the moisture in the air soothed his senses. The night sky was more beautiful than ever. Millions of white pixels illuminating the infinitely deep darkness. Sky. Tonight was all about Sky. As he thought, someone knocked and a moment later Sky called him.

"Hi, Alex."

"Hi, Sky. Oh wait, is it Sky? I thought it is something else that I haven't been told."

"Patience Alex, you're not there yet."

"Then where are we yet."

"At the point where you learn who and what I am in the name of Sky. And you learn only what I decide to tell you, not what you wish to."

"So you lie to me, or you say the truth."

"I say the truth, sort of."

"Do I have a choice?"

"Do you want one?"

"There is something too efficient about you." A sly nod was the only reaction that would suit as the end of the first part of this conversation.

For some reason, he had a gut feeling of facing something that could jeopardize his mission. He could sense it coming. He knew he would have to stay quiet and act thoughtfully but he could also feel that the revelation would make him do the exact opposite.

He watched, patiently. Peacefully. Sky took off the leather jacket, revealing fair arms with smooth skin; a slim body curved below the chest and broad hips. Above that, instead of a finely built chest, this person had perfectly shaped breasts. That got him. He took time to start believing his eyes, but he did not let that be shown on his face.

Sky took off both of his, no, her bandanna, the one that covered the face and the neck and the one that held the hair, letting it fall into the jaw length root smudge they were. The face looked... feminine. But the face he looked upon shocked him, taking him back in time. Back in memory. He could see the same face lying on the ground, soaked in sweat and sand, with a smooth, long metal barrel facing it. An unsettling tsunami of questions arose inside his mind, but he couldn't let that out. He had to keep his calm.

"You. You are a..."

"...a woman. Yes."

They had constantly moved, from sitting on the couch to standing beside the table to lying on the bed. They stood on the glass panel, drinking their seventh glass of martini. In all that time Sky told him about herself. How her parents were murdered in riots and uprising based on the belief that the Wrath was man-made. How she lost her brother, he did not remember if she had said about him being younger or elder, but she was taken and he was left in the crowd. And then she recounted her tale of being taken away and traded thrice before Ziegler paid for her. 'Her'. He was still amazed by this secret. But he could understand most of it. Not sympathetically. Tactically. And he knew something very crucial, that he would keep with himself until the time was ripe.

"So that was what made me feel weird in the sky with the 'male' Sky," he said, with a slight frank tone.
