Chapter 3: booking in

It had nearly been a month since the siblings had been in Shiganshina and each one of them had manage to bond further with the Eldians. Chase and Kiara had grown very close to Eren, Mikasa and Armin as well as Meisner, Viper and Melissa also getting quite close to them as well. Viper had also been writing back to Lykan with numerous news, mostly informing him of how his siblings were enjoying this new life which Lykan become more and more invested into than anything. 

But aside from that, Viper wasn't really getting any luck on any Marley activity or anything useful as most of the information that he has disclosed were something Lykan was already aware of. The only few bits of information that was useful were the different branches of military there were, but aside from that there wasn't anything too useful.

However, Lykan wasn't pissed at Viper's lack of intel gathering, if anything, he wanted Viper to take a break from all of that and start relaxing. He'd figure Viper was working too hard rather than living this new life that Lykan was indirectly robbing him of.

On Lykan's end of the spectrum, he was able to be successful in reclaiming the lost outposts as well as nearly setting up the next expedition to Southern side of where the clan's home was. However, Lykan was also beginning to have visions as well as irritating headaches lately which meant only one thing, the royal family. No matter what he tried, it was always daunting him but the only redeeming thing about it was that he would always see her face, Frieda. Lykan cursed his heart and mind for being 'attracted' to her. He couldn't explain it, his heart felt warm, and he felt drawn to her, hell even the mention of her name made him weak.

Chase's POV

Chase had just finished his training with Meisner which was mostly doing pushup, sit-ups, and pullups. It's nothing too drastic but just basic exercises to keep him on his toes. Melissa did the same with Kiara but being more lenient by giving her more rests as well as not making the exercises too harsh. However, as time progress Kiara didn't need the rest and kept pushing through and was able to compete with Melissa which is a huge feat

Chase knew that Meisner and Melissa were already going to be sent off to the military for the next three years. He was just as sadden by this like how they had to leave, but it wasn't as bad as in the military, they were given a few off days, where they can either head back to their hometown if it is nearby or they can carry on training which most people would do since their homes were too far away.

Chase: looks like you're getting booked off tomorrow right Meisner?

Meisner: yeah, don't worry about us Chase. Just make sure Kiara stays out of trouble and keep Viper company, I bet his going to feel lonely without Melissa

Chase: yeah, I will, Viper is like an older brother, like Lykan...

Meisner: yeah... like Lykan

Viper's POV

Viper was in the living room with Melissa as the two were chatting regarding tomorrow. Viper was having regrets of not joining the military as he wanted to stick with Melissa. Although he keeps telling her that he just wanted to look out for her, in all reality he didn't wanted anyone one to take her away from him. Although they weren't dating, Viper had a feeling that someone will have the guts that he lacked to ask Melissa out.

Viper: I knew I should have joined! Fuck, how stupid am I?

Melissa: 1st, you're quite stupid, 2nd Lykan gave you specific orders not to Viper

Viper: But-

Viper was silenced by Melissa putting a finger on his lips, shushing him for speaking. She soon spoke with that voice of her that could easily hypnotize Viper.
