The galloping of horses could be heard as the scouts charged forth into uncharted lands. The new recruits which included the all-stars were surprised how beautiful the outside was. Seeing the sunlight in this setting was breath taking to say the least. The Grimms smiled upon seeing the bright light above their heads, like an old friend greeting them once more
Hange's squad
Ilse and Nifa kept chatting on how beautiful the land was as Ilse took out her journal and wrote out her entry. She drew sketches on what she saw and Hange saw how they were behaving as she smiled at them
Moblit: I still remember my first time out here, I had a similar response
Hange: I remember it clear as day, you were sketching everything you saw Moblit
Moblit: I still have those sketches section commander
Hange: huh? Really?! Ilse, you and Moblit have a few things in common!
Ilse: e-eh? You draw too Moblit sir?
Moblit: quite a bit, I like to document things
Hange: that is why you document my research on titans my dear Moblit! Let us capture one, shall we?!
Hange was just drooling in excitement as the rest of her squad look at her with concern for hers and their own safety. Ilse glanced to her right and she could see Furlan and Isabel's squad where they were focus on the expedition.
She figured she and Nifa should do the same as she closed her journal as they charged forth.
Meisner and Melissa POV
The air was tense as they rode into the forest where the trees were taller than anything imaginable. Meisner gripped his reigns as he listened to the atmosphere, ensuring no titans snuck up on them. Melissa was no different as she glanced the terrain ahead of her, analyzing for any titans let alone abnormals. Furlan saw this as he rode closer to them and spoke
Furlan: you guys alright?
Melissa: yeah, just making sure we don't get snuck up on
Meisner: I hate the silence here
Isabel: we'll be shifting to ODM in second so stay alert
Meisner/Melissa: got it!
As they rode, they could hear the roars of titans which made them grip their blades harder. Isabel and Furlan were ready to give the signal as they glanced to their subordinates, thinking they would be at least worried or afraid, however, their eyes were burning for a fight as they had smirks plastered on their faces
Furlan: (are they... even scared?)
Isabel: (oh wow... they really are battle ready)
Furlan fired the flare into the sky as he shouted to them
Furlan: switch ODM now! My squad will head East!
Isabel: Hange's squad head North!
Meisner/Melissa: for the glory of mankind!
The two Grimns shot their anchors and rushed forth to where the titans were as Furlan and Isabel led them. There were a handful of them as their distorted faces and their abnormal sizes were seen. Upon seeing the scouts, the titans rushed forward in unorthodox ways as the others were ready
