Chapter 33: Bite the bullet

Another day at training as the months had gone by where it was year 848. Finally the weak had been casted away and the strong remain. Only filtering out the committed cadets and the fittest

Chase: (It's been a long while since I've smelt the outside air. Or what is equivalent to that)

Our Grimm as we know as Chase was riding on horseback with his comrades. Today was the training exercise that would simulate danger without being in danger.

Two squads within the cohort will be split and travelled out of camp. The goal was to create teamwork under stressful environment and to test the cadets survival instincts

To prove the parties had accomplish their mission, they have to complete a list of tasks and bring back certain item to prove that they had in fact done the training exercise legitimately

On one team, was Chase's side with a few of his comrades. Marco being the team leader this time around and Armin being the recorder who is to report everything that has happened so far

Marco: Okay, we keep heading South to our destination everyone

Chase: exhales sharply As the All Father wills it, I pray for our victory

Armin: writing noises

Of course it wasn't just the 3 of them. There were others of course. That which can be explained much better with how they all interacted with one another

Jean: Bah, why must we rush this exercise? Lets just take our time

Eren: We don't know how your 'slow' actually is Jean. Let's get this over and done as fast as possible

Jean: tsk

Jean rolled his eyes a little at his comment, biting his tongue to prevent something to slip out of his mouth because he could feel Chase staring at the both of them rather annoyed. And also preparing to intervened before anything else happened

Chase: sighs Just another day in the 104th training ground it seems

Mina: Chase San?

Chase turned to his side and saw Mina riding beside him. It always seemed like she knew when Chase was feeling stressed or more accurately annoyed for she would always catch him in such states

Then again, it was rather common if Jean and Eren were in the same room let alone breathing space

Chase: Hey Mina chan, sorry just that...sighs it would be when Muspelheim freezes over before those two get along

ZX: The saying is equivalent to 'it would be until Hell freezes over before those two get along'

Mina: Ah...I can only imagine your stress levels Chase San

Chase: Oh I can manage. If that's what your thinking darling

Mina: blushing a bit  Y-You mustn't say that so much! What would M-Mikasa san or Sasha say??

Chase: chuckling

Sasha in the background could be seen staring at both Mina and Chase. Observing how they interacted as she gripped the reigns of her horse a little tighter. This was the downside of being with someone like Chase, being in an open relationship.

Seeing him with another woman was gut wrenching, especially when Chase is someone whose very sociable and perhaps at times very bold when it came to interacting with other women

Connie: Someone's feelin jelly!

Sasha: Eh?? What jelly??

Connie: Oh come on you know what I mean! The way you're staring at those two like you're bout to shoot Mina with an arrow
