XIX: The Lotus Palace

Third POV

Both Katsuki and Izuku arrived home 30 past 1 am, equally exhausted and happy with the turnout of Christmas Day, each holding a Christmas trinket.

"That was fun," Izuku yawned, stretching before feeling himself getting pulled into Katsuki's chest, "Hm?" Setting down his white coat on the behind rack.

With his hands slipping underneath Izuku's dark red sweater, the boy's body shuddering from his hand, feeling warm lips connect with his.

Mh~

Izuku smiled once they'd pulled apart, "Not that I didn't like it, but what was that for?" Feeling a hand run past his beautifully phathalo green bangs, and a brazen look on Katsuki's exterior.

"One last mistletoe kiss for the Christmas season." He replied, pointing up at the mistletoe that hung proudly by the front entrance. "But chances are I'll doing that and more regardless..." before tossing his black coat over to the side next to Izuku's.

Izuku wrapped his arm around Katsuki's arm, the both of them in unison when they headed up to the master bedroom.

Opposite sides of the closet they both undressed, preparing for bed. "Tomorrow we'll be heading somewhere with everyone else, called The Lotus." Katsuki suddenly added, making Izuku turn to him.

"The Lotus..?" Izuku repeated, slipping on a large black T-shirt with a skull; he was almost positive it was Katsuki's but he simply didn't care enough to take it off.

"Mhm, it's a traditional place for Me, or more like us," He started, "We place Stargazer, Royal, and fire lily's in the so-called pond of prosperity; just before the new year for good luck."

Izuku softly smiled, "Sounds like a lovely experience; how exciting." When he grabbed Katsuki's hand and jerked them both out of the closet and onto the bed.

One wearing just a T-shirt and the other wearing nothing but boxers, they got under the sheets, spooning and with a flicker of the lights, they were out for the night.

. . . The Next Day. . .

5 SUVs were headed Northeast, to head to the palace.

It was a three-hour drive but it was well worth the wait; with each moment passing the area looked less and less like a city and more of a traditional Japanese setting.

The architecture was a fairly beautiful reminder of the Warren-states period, with not a single modern-day thing in sight despite what was brought along.

Katsuki held Izuku's hand as they entered the Japanese-like residence known as the Lotus Palace.

It was honestly the most beautiful thing he'd seen in ages.

The palace itself was like those built in the feudal area with a white base and almost pink-toned outward roof; mixes of gravel and vicarious rocks covered every outdoor square inch.

While the inside of the home was built traditionally- it was the exterior that got most of the glory with its unique features like the multiple bonsai and cherry blossom trees, outlining the edges of the territory, the butterfly cage, and even the grander scale pavilion that was decorated with covered lilies of different assortments and was connected to the rest of the home by a small bridge.

Next to the pavilion was only three feet of one-sixth of the canal where the lilies were to be placed when the time had come.

"Katsuki... this place is amazing." Izuku complimented, a faint blush overlaying his pale cheeks, receiving a chuckle from the blond who loved how enthusiastic Izuku was.

"Yes, I suppose it is peaceful." He nodded, gently tugging Izuku along so they could enter the establishment.

The first thing was first, and that was they had to change out of their suits and fancy dresses into something a bit more appropriate; something that said...

Peace and prosperity.

While the women wore their very best kimonos and matching fans that had an excessive but overall necessary array of colors along with the men donning their best yukatas.

Izuku and Katsuki changed as well. Izuku wearing a white with silver embellishment Kimono Haori Hakama, while Katsuki went with his usual approach of a black one with golden embellishments.

The area was secluded but rightfully armed so there was no need to worry; the only idea of finding peace and relaxation was prominent.

"Yknow it's always nice to tour the grounds after a stressful year," Uraraka noted, hand in hand with Asui as her bubblegum pink Kimono flowed gently with the breeze.

Asui nodded, "Right, moments like these make me happy I'm in a mafia like this." Taking the lead to the both of them to the main hall where everyone was preparing to take a shot of sake.

"For a better year and more to come; TO THE KATSUKI CLAN AND THE A UNIT!" Katsuki announced holding up his small glass filled with an alcoholic drink.

"TO THE KATSUKI CLAN AND A-UNIT!" They all jeered, taking the shot of sake down the hatch with ease.

With the rather odd yet fun-loving vibes being emulated by the 'bond brothers' Kaminari and Kirishima, they all managed to entertain themselves until nightfall.

That was when they'd gently place a flower and watch it go off the canal and to the bordering streamline.

. . .

The stars and moon illuminated the night sky; while down near the main border of the canal luminescent lanterns gave the surrounding area a warm glow.

A white table held a variety of lilies as Katsuki had described the day before.

By their assigned code number, one by one they grabbed their lily, holding it close to their heart letting their souls give out its wish and aspirations before gently placing it down on the water bed.

Izuku watched Katsuki do the same, picking up tiger lily, thinking hard before he kneeled to place his flower down.

He stepped aside, allowing Izuku to bestow his lily onto the canal; staring at how the side of his glowed with the lighting, a warming aura being emanated.

When Izuku got back up, he held hands with Katsuki, allowing the man to guide him away from the others and to a more quiet area.

Standing in the middle of the small bridge that connected the pavilion to the rest of the home, they stood close to one another, holding each other.

His view panned over to the snowed-over bushes, watching fireflies slowly rise, something similar to a fantasy book.

With the moon held high above them, Izuku could only question what Katsuki had wished for earning a sly smirk,

"I can't tell you otherwise it simply won't come true."

Izuku giggled, leaning in closer, "Well I'll tell you what I wished for..." gently placing his lips onto Katsuki's, feeling his hands slide up his back.

They pulled back, a bare blush on his face,

"I wish to be with you until the day I die."

Katsuki smiled, tilting Izuku backward,

"Then I wish for the same."
