"stop! stop the bus!"

the bus screeching to slow, causing all the students that were stood up to tumble as it did so. anastasia letting out a scream as she fell backwards, dragging the nearest person, of course that being simon, with her. the lower half of her body slamming against the bus floor, the other half dangling over the side of the bus. hair dragging as the bus finally screeched to a stop. simon who had fallen onto of her trying to lift her up. the boy screaming as he tried not the let her fall onto the road. the car alarm echoing through the woods, the flashing red lights signalling their location.

"shit are you alive?" paterson asked the two in the front as he watched sam remover her seat belt through the smoke. the cars alarm ringing in her ears. blood trailing from her forehead as she reached for the car door. jutting it open.

"yeah i'm alive, sam?" peter asked as he lifted himself of the wheel. feeling his bloodied nose. not again.

"deena, hold up!" kate shouted as deena leaped from the bus, rushing of to where the car had swerved off. following the tire tracks in the mud.

"holy shit anya." simon laughed as he helped her up, watching her face gain colour once more. her body trmebling from the fear of nearly falling off a moving bus.

"is the universe trying to kill me or something?" anastasia laughed nervously as her feet touched the floor. safely. now the trio where rushing over to where deena had gone.

"sam?" peter shouted as she crawled away from the car. feeling something trickle down her nose. lifting up her fingers to find the thick liquid coating them after swipping them under her nose. the red blood shimmering in the flashing lights of the car as she groaned in pain. looking out into the woodland, feeling something wrong. slowly lowering her hand back to the ground, when a shiver ran through her. bright lights flashing in her eyes. strobes of pictures of people screaming, and blood flashing before her eyes. a witch screaming as she was hung. memories of a past life? or just her imagination? when a warm hand grasped her wrist  bringing her back into reality. causing her to flinch in fear.

"sam? are you okay?" deena asked as the footsteps running of trio got closer. anya going slightly lightheaded as they ran after deenas footsteps. kate reaching to wipe the blood trailing from anastasia's nose. just like deena's. and their eyes landed on the pair kneeled on the group. the blood running from anastasia's nose, just like sam's. the nose bleeding thing seeming to a reoccurring pattern.

"sam. i'm sorry. i didn't mean to. anya, she didn't want to drop it. it was an accident, it's okay. it's my fault." deena rambled as she held sams face in her hands. neither of them caring about the blood on sam's hands. no sign of blood left on deena, like she hadn't had a nose bleed at all. strange.

"stay away from her you dy*e and those freaky fuckers you call friends." peter spat as he lifted the skull mask from his face as he looked toward deena and sam. deena ignoring him, but it still hurt, as she turned back to sam.

"sam. it's me." deena cried, tucking sams hair behind her ear.

"did you...see?" sam asked quietly, her whole body shaking, voice wavering in fear. deena growing confused. see what? deena locking into the woods to see what sam was talking about. yet found nothing. looking everywhere but behind her. when a twig snapped, simon rushing forward.

"oh shit." he mumbled kneeling beside sam too. something washing over anastasia as they stood here. something about the dark woods stretching for miles didn't feel right. looking into the woods, it felt like something was...watching them.

"you see them too?" sam whispered looking at anya, the blood still tricking down their noses as they both now looked in the same direction. finding a shadowed figure standing there looking at them. the skull appearing.

"we shouldn't be this far out here, not when they've gone all spooked." kate spoke as simon looked towards anastasia worried, she was acting odd. very odd indeed. to say the least. staring into the shadows of the forest. not moving.

"shut up and help me carry her." deena shouted.

"we should be leaving, like 10 minutes ago."

"we need to clear her airways." simon spoke reaching for sam, only to get hit by deena. thinking he was just joking around.

"i got this, how many fingers am i holding up?" simon spoke before lifting up three fingers for sam to look at. the girls eyes flickering between the woods, anastasia and then the fingers. anya slowly walking towards them, needing to tell deena to hurry the fuck up.

"three." sam muttered as anya squated beside deena. simon's face spitting into the grin, turning to look at anastasia. yet she still stare into the woods, even in her position change. eyes trained on something, almost threateningly. yet there was nothing there. sam suddenly breaking out into a fit of coughing. spluttering blood everywhere as anta went to speak. the red liquid splashing over simon's white shirt, anya's legs. and deena's shoes. then the flashing lights appeared, reds and blues filling the surrounding area. the whistling of their alarms. the pigs had finally arrived.

"we have to go, like now!" anya ordered, taking her eyes of the masked figure as it raised it's arm. the glint of the knife appearing. tugging simons bloodied shirt who only nodded and rushed to help sam. yet when she turned back around the figure was gone. leaving nothing but the dark forest. and a deep-seated paranoia in anastasia.
