Before Carter and I walked away from school, I told him I forgot my bag and books in the detention room and I didn't want to go there again. He went instead and got my stuff back for me and I got the chance to text everyone to tell them I wasn't feeling well and I'm going home. We arrived to my house and I thank Carter for everything and he smiled and says it's okay. I still don't know why Carter is being this nice and open with me about his life and why I am open with him. He makes me feel comfortable and want to tell him more though I only met him recently.

It's about 8 PM now and I already have told my parents I needed to talk to them and the rest of the family. My parents were worried and I guess they should be because I only called a family meeting when our dog went missing. I stood in front of them all as they all sat in the living room with concerned and worried faces. I took a deep breath in and closed my eyes and then exhaled. I opened my eyes again and said with a shaky voice, "I need to tell you something very serious that may involve the police and I want you guys to hear me to the very end... please" I pleaded them with my eyes and I noticed my mum held my dad's hand tightly. They all nodded and waited for me. "Before the summer break, at that party before we left to Italy I had a fight with Danny... That's what I told you but the truth is, it wasn't just any fight." I took another deep breath and tried to stay calm. "He was pushing me to have sex and I did not want to do that so forcefully tried to do it but he didn't." Everyone looked shocked and I only did eye contact with is my twin, Cole. He looked broken by the news and his eyes were watery and I instantly broke the eye contact. Then I continued, "Anyway, so I broke up with him the day after and I just thought it was the alcohol he drank at that party." I looked down at my shaky hands that I held together. I need to say it but I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. "He tried doing it again earlier today. He... almost did. He almost rapped me." "Oh my god" My mother gasped as she ran and held me before I broke down in tears. I did not think it affected me that way it did but once I said it out loud to my family, I didn't feel okay at all. I felt broken, weak and afraid.

An hour later, I was tucked in my bed after having a long talk alone with my parents. My mother broke down in tears and my dad held back his but they told me how strong I was but how wrong I was that I did not tell them this before but they also said how proud they are of me. I am grateful for having parents like them.

Knock knock.

Cole's head popped out of the door. "Can I come in? I have hot chocolate with marshmallows." I smile and nod. He just knows when I need my hot coco with my marshmallows. He gave me hot coco in my favorite cup which is James Sullivan's head and his favorite is Mike Wazowski's head from monsters Inc. "Thank you" I said as he snuggled next to me in bed. I laid my head on his shoulder. He sighed. "I cannot believe this happened and I did not know about it" I felt guilty as he said this. "I'm sorry." I said instantly. "No don't be, you had your reasons but I just hate the fact that I wasn't there for you and you had to keep it to yourself" He sounds broken, like he failed me. I looked up at him. "You didn't know and that's okay, I had it under control or so I thought" I said and then took a sip. "Promise me one thing," He says looking at me directly in the eyes. "Anything" I said almost in a whisper. He breathed in and then exhaled. "If anything like that or close to it, you instantly tell me about it" I nodded. "Promise twin" "I love you twine" I smiled and we drank our hot cocos watching supernatural season 1 (again).

"You may leave now, thank you for reporting this, we will be taking it from here" The officer smiled politely. Being in that room for about half an hour was... difficult. I had to say the whole thing in detail and not skip anything but it was a relief. It felt like a huge weight have been lifted. My brothers insisted that the party should be postponed or canceled even but I insisted that we go for it since it is Kyle's last fall party with this us. Since it's Thursday and we only had tomorrow to get ready for the party, there's a lot going on. Lea and Sam came by the house earlier this morning and I told them what happened and I guess Tom knew from my brothers because he just came and gave me a really tight hug. "Thanks guys for being supportive and understanding" I smiled to my parents as we stepped outside the police station. "Of course honey, we're always here." My dad says giving me a kiss on the forehead. "You are a very requested woman today," My mum laughs as she looks at Sam and Casey in the car waiting for me. "Oh and you're not grounded anymore because we think you had enough of the school bus" My dad says as my mum chuckled. "For your information, I actually kind of enjoyed it" I said with a smile as both of my parents gave me a suspicious look. It was about 3:30 PM now and I did not go to school today (thanks to my parents who called the principle) and me, Sam and Casey are in the car jamming to our favorite tunes. "So, the food?" Casey asked with a notepad in her hand. "The main dishes are pizza, pasta, two different salads, some chips and dips, mini appetizers that are going to be given throughout the party by the caterers and of course the deserts will be cheesecake and a chocolate fountain, also some cupcakes" I said all in one breath as Casey wrote it all down. "What about the drinks?" Sam asked focusing on the road. "Cole has that covered, which I'm okay with" I said as I emailed the catering company again to make sure everything is covered. "Okay, for the decorations?" I asked Sam. "Well, I found this awesome shop that are experts in glow in the dark stuff and it has everything we need with our 300 dollars budget" I smiled to myself excitedly. "What about the DJ?" Asked Casey. "Caleb got his friend that usually is our DJ so no worries." I replied. "Casey, did you give your invites to the people you want to come?" I asked moments after and turned to face her. "Yes!" She says excitedly. This is her first year actually attending the party and inviting her friends. "Great"

Planning for the party and the actual party tomorrow is the perfect distraction from what happened that I'm not ready to sit by myself and think about it.
