Chapter 33: Spring Break

"SPRING BREAK" Sam yelled giving me the biggest hug ever. "TOMORROW IMAGINE DRAGONS OH MY GOD." I yelled back not quite processing that idea. "I KNOW RIGHT!!" Sam yelled and then we were just jumping like 'fangirls' because that's what we really were.

"Hey babe" Cole says hugging Sam from the back. "Hi" She says while turning to him. I smiled looking at how in love they looked reminding me of my own boyfriend. "Guys, I'll see you at the dinner" I said before walking away to look for Carter. I saw him right outside the front doors laying his a side of his body on the wall while smoking. He had his black sunglasses on and his black t-shirt, jeans and converse as usual. "Hey stranger." I said with a smile. He looks at me and smiles, "Hey beautiful." His smile made my heart skip a beat and then him saying I'm beautiful makes my heart stops. "Do you think you'll ever stop smoking?" I asked leaning on the wall next to him, so now were facing each other. "Nope." He asks looking at me through his sunglasses. "Good to know that you're okay with slowly killing yourself." He smirks as I say that and drops his cigarette on the ground and he gets closer to me, "I'll try to quite." "Really? That quick?" I ask. He gets closer to me until he was only inches away from me. "You, Katharine Parks, have a powerful hold of me." And with that he seals it with a kiss. I don't know how we got to this point in only a short amount of time, but I really like him and maybe even love him. I don't care what the future holds; all I care about right now is how awesome spring break is going to be.

In The Car, on our way to Las Vegas, Cole, Carter, Sam, and I were blasting all kinds of music and living a carefree life. Nothing on our minds, except what's the next song we will play. That's until we stopped our car at the gas station where the rest of the group are. "Want any snacks?" I ask Carter while stepping out of the car. "Some chips and water please." He says stepping out of the car after me. "Okay" I said walking away along side with Sam. "hey!" Sam says as we walked into the grocery store. "Hello!" said Lea with a bright smile and two bags of junk food. "We only have 10 minutes to spare before we need to leave so make it quick ladies." Said Kyle who was taking the bags from Lea's hands. "Okay captain, we won't take long." I said already walking past them to get some chips and chocolate and other types of junk food but then I see Sam picking up some fruits and I stare with my eyes wide open, "It's a damn fun car ride, it's all about that junk food!" She laughs, "Calm down, you and Carter don't have to eat our food." She says walking to the counter. These two always have to be in shape for the next game or the next practice it's exhausting. I noticed my basket and I forgot to get some soda for Carter so I walk back to that ally and see Tom talking to some girl who looked suspicious. I couldn't see her face but they were both talking deeply about something. I decided to walk and maybe catch a glimpse of her. Then when Tom notices me he says loudly, "I don't know where that it is, sorry but you can ask the people in the counter, I bet they know." And the girl walks away immediately. "Hi Tom," I said with a suspicious smile. "Hey, how's the trip going?" he smiles trying to hide away his nervousness. "It's good, what about you?" I said while picking up some sodas. "Good good." He says while slowly walking the direction the opposite of me. "Um Tom, who was that girl you were talking to?" I said standing in his way now. He stared at me and then he says with his vocals shaking and his avoiding mine, "Just some random girl asking me for directions." "Oh" I replied not buying it. "Yeah, I think Caleb is waving to me to come so see you later!" He says quickly and walks away. I stand there weirdly not knowing what that was or who that was but I knew it wasn't just a random girl. It sucks that Tom is heartbroken at the moment. He didn't tell me what happened with him and Tori except weeks later when he admitted why he was being moody. Apparently Tom heard Tori talking to her father about Tom saying that he was a just a tool to use into getting information from his father's company. Tori didn't know until later that Tom heard this information. He was devastated obviously and Tori tried to contact him many times to explain but he wanted her out of his life, mind and heart completely. I hope this trip will bring him the joy he needs right now in his life.

We finally arrive to Las Vegas after a couple of more stops. We arrive at the amazing hotel booked for all of us and obviously, the girls are all in one suite and the boys are in another. I'm kind of nervous for Carter to spend time with the rest of the boys because they don't know him and it may go completely wrong. Now, I'm not that thrilled with Victoria being in the same room as I am but I'm not complaining because we promised each other that this is a new page for all of us. "So, since the concert is tonight, what are you guys planning to wear?" Said Casey laying on the sofa and that's how we all started deciding what to wear and so on. We needed to go to our seats at about 6 since the show starts at 8 pm. I already left the room to sit in the lobby waiting for the rest of the group to show up and that's when I saw Tom walking to the pool section not noticing me. I decided it's about time I find out who the hell is he meeting with and why he's hiding it. I walked after him in the best sneaky way as possible and saw him stop right at the pool and that's when I saw the same girl that I've seen in every stop but this time she was wearing normal clothes. She hugs him tightly. Then when she stepped back, I immediately recognized her and obviously it was Tori. It's the love of his life and the person that changed him completely. To him, she is his oxygen and it necessary for him to be around her. For her, he was the beating to her heart. It's very dramatic but very true. I guess they only realized they felt that much love to each other when their love became forbidden and when she had to go back and live across the seas. I smiled as they share a kiss near the pool in the romantic setting of the sun. I didn't want to ruin the moment so I started walking away slowly, hoping they wouldn't see me but then because of how clumsy I am, I bump into someone. I look up and see Carter with a smirk on his face. "Trying to be a spy?" He asks making me roll my eyes, "Only because I was worried about him." I said and he smiles, "You're a good friend but he already told us in the room about it so technically you're a bit late." "Whatever." I said and start walking away back to where I was sitting in the first place. "By the way, you look gorgeous as usual." He says as I felt his presence right behind me. "Well, thank you, I know black is your favorite color." I said with a smile. "Well, my favorite person in my favorite color, it cant get any better." I giggle like a schoolgirl who has a crush on the hottest guy in school and he just passed by her but it's Carter, he has the effect on me. We share a small kiss before the rest of the group started to show up and we decided to head to our seats. Tom still didn't tell us about Tori and I wasn't going to mention it to him but I also don't want him to feel torn between hiding that his girl is here and trying to be with her. I look around at the big theater and it looked big. People were all hyped and excited to see Imagine Dragons including myself and Carter who both were wearing the concert t-shirts and acting like crazy fans and saying 'oh my god' at everything we see. "Guys, I have a surprise for all of you..." Tom says like 10 minutes before the concert starts and I smile when I see Tori standing behind him. "TORI!" Lea screams and run to hug her so did the rest of the girls and I. "We're so happy you're here!" Sam says and she looks at us with a smile and some tears in her eyes, "Guys, you're truly are great people." She says and with that grateful look on her eyes, we all grouped hug.

The concert started and just as it was expected, Carter and I forgot about everything in the world and just sang our hearts out along with our favorite band. The adrenaline was high and our vocals were even higher. It felt amazing to be here in that moment, with my favorite people in the world. I looked at Carter as he sang along, his eyes were bright and his smile was wide, I knew in that moment that I didn't want to be with anyone else except him. I don't believe in 'the one' but if its real, I want Carter to be my one and I hope I am his.
