When I think of you
I feel like a child staring at a flower
Admiring with wonder in her eyes
And a curious innocence on her lipsWhen I think of you
I feel like a child dancing in the rain
Splashing on wet puddles
In spite of being scolded by an elderWhen I think of you
I feel like a child in a chocolate shop
Mildly amazed at the infinite variety of life
Yet afraid to choose oneWhen I think of you
I feel like a child in the open fields
Searching shapes in the clouds
Like finding depth in your wordsWhen I think of you
I feel like a child without the worries
Carefree like dandelion fluff
Jumping and singing in a jolly strideWhen I think of you
I feel like I find the child in me
Nurtured, loved and cherished
Again and again and again🖤🖤🖤
Happy Children's Day
