"Why is it you don't have any girly clothes with you? All I see are jeans, t-shirts and demon jackets! Not even a skirt!" Mikiko complained as she ruffled through Akina's closet.
"I don't find them comfortable! If its a windy day, I am going to spend my time putting the skirt down, plus I will be an a easy target for perverts!" Akina whined when Sumiko frowned.
"It's your first date! You should at least wear something that makes Minamino-san feel like you are truly interested in him." Sumiko crossed her arms.
"But I am! I really really like him!" Akina complained.
"That is why you should work hard on your dressing sense as well! No worries Mikiko, I got her a nice summer dress as a present!" Sumiko dug through her bag and produced a pale blue summer strap dress.
"Good thinking! AHHH!!! Akina! You never used the Greek strap sandals I got you! Never mind, wear it now." Mikiko took out the shoes from her closet.
"By the way Akina, does Minamino-san know its your birthday" Sumiko asked as she began to untangle Akina's long hair.
"Umm... Should I?" Akina asked nervously.
"Eh? Why not?!?" Mikiko and Sumiko shouted at her.
"Umm...Because... I don't want to bother him much.... I mean... He is already taking me out.... If I mention it is my birthday... It feel like I am... trying to use him...." Akina replied in a small voice when Mikiko hugged her.
"Akina, it's okay to be a little spoiled! He would also like you to be spoiled by him a little bit." She said as she hugged her tightly.
"But....." Akina looked at Sumiko who smiled softly.
"Take your time but let him know. Akina, its okay to be a little spoiled. He cares for you after all." Sumiko said kindly.
"Now! Let's get you ready!" Mikiko had a huge grin as Akina sweat dropped in fear.

Kurama waited in front of the cafe as he looked foreword to his first date with Akina.
"So... Sorry...for... Keeping you waiting..." Akina blushed as she stood in front of him.
Kurama's eyes widened. Akina was looking to the side, her face was red but she looked quite different from her usual appearance. Her usually unkept hair was now falling in soft curls, she was wearing light make up and the pale blue summer dress with a black jacket made her look really beautiful.
"Ah... Sorry... I must....must... be looking.... Weird..." Akina mumbled when Kurama grabbed her shoulder and kissed her forehead.
"You look amazing Akina." He said gently as he smiled at her.
Akina blushed as she smiled when he grabbed her hand and pulled her close to his side.
"Is there somewhere you want to go?" Kurama asked when she looked at him.
"Umm... Eto.... Can we..." Akina looked down
Just allow him to spoil you a bit!
"Ahh... Is there somewhere you want to go?" Akina asked as she giggled nervously.
I can't... I don't know how to...act spoiled..... Akina looked down as she felt worried.
Kurama chuckled as he gently tucked her hair behind her ear.
"What is it you want to do? Today is your birthday after all, it should be all about you." Kurama fiddled with her hair.
"Eh? You knew?" Akina asked surprised.
"Mikiko-san let me know. She said you wouldn't say a word... So." Kurama's eyes softened as he traced her jaw with his thumb.
"Um... its not like... I was hiding... I didn't want you to feel bothered too much...." Akina's voice was very soft.
"Allow me to spoil you a little bit Akina." Kurama chuckled as he lightly kissed her lips.
Akina smiled as her cheeks reddened when she touched her head and her eye's widened. There a hair ornament just above her left ear.
"A little present for you." Kurama smiled when Akina smiled widely as grabbed his arm.
"Thank you! I am feeling really happy!" Akina's smile warmed Kurama's heart.
"So? Where do you want to go? We can go to the amusement park or any cafe you want?" Kurama cupped her cheek.
"Umm... There is one place I want to go... promise me you won't laugh..." Akina asked shyly.
"Eh?"
"Wah!!! It really is amazing!!!" Akina clapped her hands together as she looked at the bookstore.
To think she wanted to go to a bookstore Kurama chuckled as he watched Akina flint around the bookshelf's like a child in a sweet shop.
"You really love to read don't you?" Kurama smiled as Akina blushed and smiled.
"Un... When I was struggling, the books helped me find hope.... I really love them! There are very few places I can get the actual books in English...so." Akina had a wide smile as she picked up a few books.
"Mikiko-san is going to shout at you regarding the amount of books you have." Kurama helped with some of the books.
"My father said he will get me a proper bookshelf but we need to keep this a secret from my mother.... She will yell at me for always buying books!" Akina laughed.
Kurama paid for the books despite Akina begging him to not pay for them. They had their lunch at the cafe.
"Let me at least pay for the food! I feel... You are buying everything...." Akina blushed.
Kurama smiled which made Akina blush even more as she quickly spoon the pudding into her mouth to hide her embarrassment.
"It's okay, because today, I am going to spoil you." Kurama reached over and wiped the caramel from the side of her lips.
Akina felt steam escape her head as Kurama chuckled.
"Ah! I had a lot of fun today!" Akina announced as she walked beside Kurama who chuckled.
"Me too." Kurama smiled at her.
"Sorry I spoke so much... I tend to talk a lot when I am excited." Akina bit her lips.
"I want to know more about you Akina." Kurama said simply which made Akina's face turn red.
Akina smiled as she tip toed and kissed his cheek. Kurama's eyes widened as s mile formed on his face as Akina smiled back while clinging on to his arm.
"Fufufu.... Looks like their date is going well." Botan whispered as she watched from the bushes.
"Should we be doing this?" Keiko narrowed her eyes as Sumiko and Mikiko giggled.
"Ahh!!! She is growing up! But honestly Akina! Going to a bookstore instead of an amusement park! You still need to grow up." Mikiko nodded as Sumiko grinned.
"I have snapped enough photos for her mother.... Hehehe... I wonder what is next! Technically, she is no longer a minor today!" Sumiko smiled slyly.
"Eh? Will she really go for it?" Mikiko asked surprised.
"I doubt it. Kurama would never make a move like that especially since he knows Akina is not ready for anything intimate like that." Keiko said sensibly.
"That is true but its fun to watch." Botan turned to looked when she stood up yelling.
"AH!!! WE LOST SIGHT OF THEM!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"We managed to get away from them." Kurama let Akina on the ground as they reached the park on the cliff.
"They have been following for a long time." Akina giggled as she stood near the railing while taking in the night and city lights.
Kurama looked at Akina with a soft look as she saw her bright and happy face. His eyes fell to her neck where a pale red rose like print was visible to him.
The rose was the proof that Akina was his.
"The sky is so clear and beautiful! This is really pretty!" Akina exclaimed as she smiled when Kurama gently pulled her into his arms.
Her back was against his chest as he rested his head on her shoulder. Akina smiled as she placed her hands on his which was around her shoulders.
"Happy Birthday, Akina." Kurama whispered as he kissed her neck which made her shiver.
"Thank you Kurama, today is really special day... because I got to spend it with you!" Akina happily replied as he nuzzled her neck.
The wind slowly picked but she felt comfortable as Kurama held her close. She never felt so complete before, feeling him close to her, loving him.
"The best present I got is having to spend the whole day with you!" Akina turned to Kurama who smiled.
"Having you with me is the best feeling Akina. I want you beside me." Kurama whispered when he kissed her.
Akina returned the kiss as he pulled her close. Kurama broke the kiss as he kissed her neck where he had imprinted her. Akina closed her eyes tightly as she felt his his lips trail down her neck.
Kurama suddenly pulled back and gently titled her chin.
"Akina? Are you okay?" He asked when Akina blinked.
Her face was flushed while her eyes were glazed but... Kurama could tell that she was not ready for anything intimate. As much as he wanted her, he knew he had to respect her consent and wishes.
"Uh...Ah... Sorry....I..." Akina suddenly realised what he was asking when Kurama kissed the side of her head as he embraced her.
"It's okay. Let's take our time to know each other." Kurama whispered gently.
"Sorry...I..." Akina blushed when he just held her close.
"Let's take out time together." Kurama chuckled as Akina returned his embrace and smiled softly.
"Un." Akina rested her head against her chest.
"We should get back." Kurama tilted her chin to kiss her gently.
"I want to spend some more time." Akina whined as he chuckled when he softly kissed her earlobe.
"We have all the time in the world." Kurama replied when suddenly he grew alert.
Akina looked confused when he suddenly grabbed her and jumped up when a blasts occurred where they stood. He jumped on to he railing as laughter rose in the air.
"So she really is the heir."
Kurama tensed as a red haired human walked into the area.
"Who are you?" Kurama asked as he shielded Akina.
"Don't worry, I am not here to attack the child. I just wanted to know how she is, that is all." He simply shrugged as he stood in front of them.
"I have seen you before. You were with Mako that day" Akina said softly.
"It's an honour you remember me, Princess." He bowed as Akina just moved closer to Kurama.
He the stood straight when his eyes glowed blue as he grinned as Kurama loosened his hold on Akina.
"You are your father's daughter." He just smiled.
"My father?" Akina blinked.
"He died protecting you and your mother, the queen of Tenko. He was our leader, until he was killed and I could take over." He once bowed.
"What are you seeking her for?" Kurama asked, he could not trust this man.
"Nothing. Just a warning. You might want to return back to Tenko and activate the sphere. Be on our side." He smirked.
Akina grabbed on to Kurama's arm, he could feel her tremble.
"Why would I want to join you?" Akina asked sternly.
"Hmmm... No reason at all, just that we are strong enough to kill your friends." He shrugged.
"Too bad, they are strong enough to deal with you! You aided in killing my parents! You nearly drove me to madness! I will never join your cause!" Akina glared at him.
"Oh well... That a shame. I better go. See you again soon, Princess." He smirked as he blended into the darkness.
The air lightened as the a gentle breeze blew around them. Akina leaned on to Kurama feeling weak and terrified.
"Akina?" Kurama supported her as she closed her eyes and sighed.
"He... He was with Mako that day... That day when the Tennyo soul separated from me. He is the one who has been leading Mako against us." Akina whispered.
Kurama remained quiet as Akina just remained in his arms as she felt herself relax and feel safe.
"I think for now, you come home with me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Akina blushed as she followed Kurama into her house. His family was staring at her as she felt even more embarrassed.
"Shuichi-Nii-san's girlfriend...? Nice to meet you! I am Shuichi! His younger brother." Kurama's step brother put his hand out as Akina smiled as accepted it.
"Welcome to our home, Shuichi told me that due to certain troubles, you need to stay in another place for time being. Take your time here." His mother, Shiori took her hands in her as Akin blushed.
"Thank you so much, I...." Akina felt her face heat up when his step father laughed.
"What a polite child! Don't hold back, we are practically family now!" Her father patted her shoulder when Akina also smiled.
"Shuichi, why don't you show her to your room while I get dinner ready." His mother smiled.
"Ah! Let me help you out!" Akina spoke out when Shiori shook her head.
"For today, you take it easy." She smiled brightly making Akina feel every more shy.
She quietly followed Kurama who noticed how quiet she was and smiled. He knew she was feeling increasingly shy around his family and was unsure what to do.
"Just be yourself. My family seem to adore you a lot." Kurama smiled as he let her into his room.
"I hope so too... I would like them to like me as well." Akina replied with a smile.
His room was minimal yet neat and spacious. He set her things on the bed when he gently embraced her as she returned his embrace.
"Don't worry. I wont let them take you away from me." He whispered as she nodded as he cradled her head against his chest.
"Un... I know." She felt extremely safe and happy with him.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he held her at arms length.
"Nothing... I just feel so happy....being with you... Sometimes I feel..." Akina looked down when he gently cupped her cheek.
"Don't think too much. Just seeing you so much, I feel so lucky to have you." Kurama tilted her chin as he gently kissed her lips when the door swung open.
"Mom! Shuichi-Nii-san is busy flirting with Akina-san!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Akina sat through the whole dinner feeling even more shy and embarrassed as Kurama also was a little uncomfortable as the younger Shuichi kept elbowing him while Shiori and her husband shared smiles.
Akina insisted on helping Shiori with the dishes as Kurama helped Shuichi clear the table.
"Akina-san." Shiori turned to Akina.
"Uh! Yes!" Akina yelled as she blushed as Shiori chuckled.
She took Akina's hand in her and smiled as Akina felt herself turn red.
"Ever since Shuichi has met you, there a certain happiness I have noticed in himself. I have to thank you that. Shuichi is usually quiet and he often keeps to himself but ever since you have come in his life, I have been seeing emotions, I have never seen before. Thank you, Akina-san." She smiled as Akina felt her heart soften.
"No no! Ku... Shuichi-kun has always been saving me! I am grateful everyday that he is there. I don't have to hide myself, nor do I have to always pretend to be happy. I am lucky.... That he cares for me." Akina said softly.
"Fufufu... I can see why Shuichi likes you. I am happy... It feels like I will have a daughter as well now." Shiori chuckled as Akina blushed.
"Eh... Yes... I look forward as well!" Akina replied shyly as Kurama watched them hand smiled.
"I feel jealous Nii-san... Where did you find such a sweet girl!" Shuichi giggled as Kurama just cleared his throat.
"She is a sweet girl... You sure have found yourself a good woman." His father patted his shoulder.
Kurama just smiled as he watched Akina talk animatedly to Shiori.
"Shuichi, I think you should take her up to your room. She has fallen asleep." Shiori commented as she noticed Akina was leaning on Kurama as they had been talking in the living room.
"Ah! You are right mother." He took her in her arms.
"You will sharing Shuichi's room for the time being. We cannot make Akina-san's parents worry." Shiori smiled as Kurama sweat dropped.
"I know mother." Kurama chuckled nervously.
He gently laid Akina on to the bed, he tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead when she grabbed his hand in his sleep.
"K...Ku...Rama....love... you..." Akina muttered making Kurama chuckle as he gently brushed her hair from her forehead.
"Shuichi! Let her sleep. It would not be manly to do anything to her while she sleep, even if she does not mind." His mother poked her head as she smiled at him.
Kurama blushed as he got up to leave, he turned to look at her.
He smiled softly as he left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Stop! You shouldn't do this! I will not let any other man near me! My heart already belongs to him!"
She could see thr queen being backed into the corner by that man.... His red hair stood out to her.
Her mother was trying to push the man away.
Suddenly a barrier formed around her mother. He glared at her when he raised his hand against her when her mother quickly came in between them.
"I will not let you touch our child!" Her eyes turned blue as she blasted the man out.
'~~
"Heh... You have grown up well. Well... I could not have your mother but you are more of value than her." He stood in front of her as she watched him approach him as Mako laughed in the background.
"What... What do you want from me?" She tried to back away but she was unable to move.
His hand grabbed her face as she tried to resist.
"You were an interference back then but I am glad you interfered. You have a better chance of producing me a child.. You are also of the age." He sneered.
"No....NO...." Akina tried to push him away when she suddenly felt herself being pushed against the blackness as something invisible pinned her against the blackness
"Let us both fall into the darkness together." His smile was terrifying as the darkness began to surround her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her scream woke every up as Kurama rushed into his room. Her eyes were open wide as tears dripped down her cheeks, her breathing was haggard.
"Akina?" Kurama touched her shoulder when she screamed even louder.
"Akina! Calm down!" He called out when she resisted as his family also gathered in his room
"Akina-san! It's okay!" His mother gently took Akina in her arms as she sobbed softly while hyperventilating.
Her eyes seemed to come to in focus as she finally recognised him. She seemed to calm down as she seemed to realise that she was safe.
"So... Sorry... I had... had... a ...." Akina stuttered as she tried to control her tears.
"Akina-san, its okay, you are safe here." Shiori gently stroked her hair as Akina tried to nod but her voice seemed to be stuck.
"Mother, if its okay, can you leave us alone." Kurama looked alert.
"Shuichi?" His mother then nodded and smiled.
"Then, we leave her in you care." His mother smiled as she ushered the rest out of the room.
"Akina?" Kurama sat next to her as he gently cupped her face.
"He... He was in my dream...not dream... Nightmare..... I... I had a horrible memory... He had... He... tried to...." Akina was unable to string her sentences together as tears spilled down.
"Akina, take your time. I am here with you." Kurama said softly as he brought their foreheads close.
"Un..." Akina sniffed as she softly sobbed.
"The man you are talking about? Is he the one who interrupted us in the park?" Kurama asked when she nodded.
"He... He tried to force himself on... the queen...my mother... But... I think I managed to stop him when he tried to attack me but mother protected me." Akina whispered as she placed her hand over his.
"Seeing him must have triggered your earliest memory." Kurama gently rubbed his thumb over her cheek.
"I... I don't know...why... but.... Another nightmare... He was there with Mako-san... He... He... Tried...to...." Akina bit her lips as her body trembled.
Kurama's blood ran cold as he realised what she was trying to say. He embraced Akina tightly as she gripped his night shirt as she cried on to him.
"Akina.... Looks like he planted the worm of nightmares on you." Kurama pulled a small worm from the back of her neck.
"Eh?" Akina hiccuped.
Kurama crushed the worm as he felt anger course through him. The man had no doubt that he was planning to use Akina for some kind of nefarious purpose.
Most likely.....
"Worm?" Akina asked softly.
"It's a worm from the demon realm. It feeds on your fear and plagues you with nightmares, occasionally it can be used for ... for transferring someone's intentions to their target." Kurama said silently.
Akina paled. That man.... Was he planning to.... She could still feel the rough way he had grabbed her, even though it was supposed to be a nightmare.
"K...Kur...Kurama...." Akina's voice trembled.
Kurama looked at her as she suddenly pulled at her clothes. He suddenly grabbed her hands when he noticed the fear and tears.
"Please... dont bother how I feel... Make me yours.... I... I don't want to remember...I..." Akina begged him when Kurama's eyes softened.
"Akina..."
"Please! I don't.... He... He wants to..." Akina cried as she cried into her hands.
"Akina." Kurama gently pulled her into his arms such that she was in his lap.
Her head was on his chest as he leaned against the wall while cradling her in his arms. Her body seemed to relax as her breathing returned to normal.
"Akina, don't force yourself for something you are not ready. This is not something we do spontaneously. You need to take your time. It's not just your body Akina, even your mind is not ready for it. I know he scares you but... I don't want you to lose yourself because him." Kurama whispered gently as she softly cried in his arms.
"Un... Sorry... I suddenly.... Got scared." Akina whispered when she heard Kurama chuckle.
"As much as I would love to go ahead with you, I would rather we take our time so that we can feel everything mutually. I won't let him harm you." Kurama cupped her cheek as he brushed his lips against hers.
"I know... I..... I feel silly now." Akina chuckled as he smiled while holding her close.
She felt much more safe and much more calm with him. He gently stroked her hair as she felt sleep take over her. Kurama knew that was falling asleep, so he gently laid her on to the bed when she grabbed his arm.
"Stay with me." Akina pleaded when Kurama sweat dropped as he cupped her cheek.
"I can't, Akina... It will not be okay....." Kurama tried to reason when Akina hugged him.
"I don't want to be alone... I..." Akina pleaded when he sighed.
"I understand." He kissed the side of her head as he held her close to him as he laid next to him.
Akina snuggled close to him as he pulled her close to him. He watched Akina sleep as he tenderly cradled her against him.
"I love you, Akina." He whispered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hooo... He realised what I did." He laughed as she burned the worm in his hand.
"So you let them know what you plan to do to her?" Mako asked coldly.
He just laughed as Mako walked away from the room.
"Akina. You better be prepared for what's coming." Mako smirked.
