There's a guy at the end of the hall. But he's just standing there. But then another man shows up carrying something at his hip. I can tell it's something heavy because of the way he's standing. He turns to his side to ask the other man a question, then I see what it actually is. It's a mini gun. I've seen it in some video games. Fully automatic, over 100 rounds per second. He hands the man the gun.

"Shit." I whisper to myself, and the other kids right in front of me turn around.

It's so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Then it all happens. The loud noises, the screams, the sounds of people dying. All at once, everyone turns back around and starts sprinting towards the exit. Every second I count another one dead. Everyone is freaking out, people are trampling over each other.

I turn around and pull my gun out and fire once. I missed terribly and the recoil almost knocked me off my feet. I almost felt embarrassed. But I regain my focus and fire a couple more times, this time absorbing the recoils. I hit one of the men and he grasps for his left shoulder and runs into one of the classrooms. But the mini gun man is still there.

Still firing.

I keep firing at him while backing up towards the hallway. I'm pretty sure my clip is close to empty, but I keep firing. Then there's this one shot. The sound is weird, and him and I both know what it meant.

I'm out.

He stops firing and starts running towards me, so I turn around and start sprinting for the front door. I turn the corner and see the front door. Everyone is out, but me.

I continue sprinting for the front door and I see several police officers and SWAT officers pointing their guns at the school. They see me and they start to move in. I'm almost at the door, almost at the point where they can grab me.

And yet another man runs up to me from my left side and drags me towards the cafeteria. He drags me to a chair and ties me down and puts a gun up to my head. He's ready to pull the trigger. He's ready to kill me.

I start thinking of all the great things in life, like Amy, Mom, Dad, sis Alex, and my Mom's amazing homemade Mac 'n' Cheese. And... I'm hungry now.

Like, starving.

I shove that thought to the back of my head and focus on the guy in front of me. He looks scared, almost as if he doesn't really want to do this. I can't believe I'm feeling sympathy for my killer. He cocks the gun and I turn my head away.

Then there's a loud bang.
