Chapter 1

Third person's POV

'Nayeon, so what time are you picking up Ray tomorrow?' Mina is talking to her best friend Im Nayeon on the phone while having her regular afternoon walk with her dog Ray, at the park not far from her apartment.

'What time is your flight?' Nayeon asks Mina right back,

'At 1pm.' Mina answers,

'Then I will pick Ray up at around 10am, so you have time to get ready and get to the airport.' Nayeon says,

'That would be great!' Mina exclaims,

'And Nayeon, thank you for agreeing to look after Ray next week while I'm gone.' Mina continues to talk to Nayeon while undoing the leash on Ray's collar, letting him running around freely,

'Anything for you, my friend. But you do know that I'm expecting good news when you are back, right?' Nayeon eagerly says,

'What good news?' Mina asks, not sure what is her friend referring to. She is now sitting down on a bench,

'What else? The news about you and your handsome CEO are dating of course. I mean he is head over heels for you, Mina, out of everyone in the company, he picks you to go on this business trip with him. I'm sure he is planning something.' Nayeon tells her,

'I don't know, Nayeon. He is handsome and all, I enjoyed last few times he took me out for dinner, but I still haven't felt any... spark, you know what I mean?' Mina is being honest with her friend,

'Oh Mina, you are just being so picky. Well then maybe this business trip is where you are going to get some... spark.' Nayeon says, half teasing,

'Maybe, we will see.' Mina says, not sure what to expect,

'I will see you tomorrow then. Go home and pack your clothes, you always leave it to the last minute.' Nayeon tells her, being Mina's best friend for so long, she knows Mina's every habit,

Mina laughs, 'Yes, yes, I will make sure to finish packing by tonight. See you tomorrow, bye!'. She then ends the call.

Mina's full name is Myoui Mina, she is 25 years old. Mina comes from a well educated family, her father is a famous surgeon while her mother is a well respected professor, so her family is very well off. She doesn't really have to worry about money for a single day of her life.

Mina was born and raised in the loving arms of her parents, she had a wonderful childhood, a normal happy high school life where she had lots of friends, and one of those is Nayeon, her now still best friend. Her university life was more intense, as she grew up to be a beautiful young lady who was easily stealing hearts left and right.

Right after graduating from university with good grades, Mina applied for Mansae company, one of the biggest financial institutions of the country. With her impressive resume, she instantly got accepted.

Smart and pretty, well mannered and respectful, Mina has it all. In a short period of time, she was able to work her way up to her position now, a department manager. Mina is the subject of envious from all female employees, they are jealous of her beauty, her smart, quick witted brain and most of all, they can't stand the fact that almost all male employees are willing to do anything just to get Mina's attention, that including the young, handsome CEO Kim Seok Jin.

Seok Jin felt for Mina from the very first time he saw her, and just like other guys, he has tried many ways to get Mina's attention. He had taken Mina out a few times, but every time, it ended with a "Thank you, it was a nice meal." And that was it, nothing further than that. But of course, the young, successful CEO hasn't given up, hard work will paid off, that's what he always believes.
