Third person's POV
God JiHyo nods her head at the both of them, 'That's right, even living hundreds and hundreds of years apart, you two are each other's fate.' She confirms that fact.
She then looks at Chaeyoung, 'And Chaeyoung, the reason why I told you to look after that ruby stone ring as if it's your own life because... it's the fact, it is your life.' She tells her,
Chaeyoung is still confused, not sure what that's meant,
And God JiHyo clears it up for her, 'I made the ring, using the light from the ruby stone as a passage to look for your fate which is Mina. The moment Mina got into that accident to save you, the passage was closed and with that, your life was connected to this ring. So if the ruby stone cracks and the strong flash light escapes from it, you will die.'
Mina and Chaeyoung are listening intensely while processing all the information, 'So that's why you told me to keep this ring safe at all cost.' Chaeyoung says while nodding her head, finally knows the story behind the ring.
But then God JiHyo heaves a long sigh, she looks at the two of them with eyes full of sorrow, 'But I'm afraid to tell you, that is all there are to the good part of your fate.' She sadly says,
'What... what do you mean?' Mina worrily asks, while Chaeyoung stays very quiet, she kinda had a bad feelings about it when she saw the looks in God Ji Hyo's eyes earlier,
God JiHyo looks at Mina, her face saddened, 'Mina, eventhough you and Chaeyoung are each other's fate, but because you two are living hundreds of years apart, you were never meant to meet each other. You were never meant to find that ring and unknowingly reopened the passage, you were never supposed to be here in this ancient timeline. Mina, you being here is against the nature of the earth, against the flow of time, and therefore, if you stay here, you will die.'
Mina's perfect world collapsed right in front of her, she can hear the sound of her own heart breaks. She feels like drowning, eventhough she is trying hard to keep her head above water but she just keeps sinking,
Meanwhile, Chaeyoung stays frozen, she even forgets how to breathe, her heart seems like it has stopped beating because it has no more reason to continue on,
After a few moments to collect herself, Chaeyoung asks God Ji Hyo with shaky breath, 'God Ji Hyo, please... please tell me there is a way to send Mina back to her modern world.'
Mina's tears are falling nonstop on her delicate face. She shakes her head at Chaeyoung repeatedly as a way of telling the girl that she doesn't want to be separated from her,
But Chaeyoung is determined, there is no way she would just let Mina stays here and dies like that. She continues to plead to God Ji Hyo, 'Please tell me... there must be a way.'
God Ji Hyo is now also on the verge of tears, 'There is a way. Mina can go back home by the exact same way like how she got here, which is through the flash light that comes from the crack on the ruby stone. But the problem is that, if there is a crack on the ruby stone... '
'...I will die.' Chaeyoung finishes the sentence for God Ji Hyo, as she now fully understands how crooked their fate actually is. Chaeyoung is dead inside, there are no words to describe the unimaginable amount of pain that are piecing through every part of her body right now,
'I refuse to believe it...' Mina speaks up, she is in great denial, can not believe such an ill fate she shares with the girl she loves, '...Chaengie, don't believe anything she said. I'm safe here with you, therefore I'm not going anywhere. Nothing is going to happen to us...' She stands up and pulls Chaeyoung with her, 'Chaengie, let's get out of here. I don't want to hear this nonsense anymore.'
