Bas leant into the kiss as Mara opened her mouth uncertainly, whilst still hungrily. She knew that she wanted this, that she wanted him, but she also knew this was as far as she could go.
Breathless and panting, Mara pulled away and pushed on Bas' chest to stop him. To her surprise as soon as she wanted him to stop, he did.
"Sorry." She mumbled and became even more confused as Bas' expression changed to a frown.
"You don't need to be sorry Mara," he smiled at her swollen and pouty lips as he took her hand in his and led her to the bed.
They settled side by side, their thighs touching but nothing else. Mara sighed happily, resting her head on his shoulder.
Bas reached down and placed a hand on her thigh, the contact made Mara jump as sparks tingled up her body.
"You should rest." He murmured into her hair, "you'll feel better after you've rested."
Mara nodded her head in agreement and allowed Bas to help her undress enough to sleep.
"Just close your eyes." Bas whispered as she settled under the blankets, he gently kissed her forehead as her eyes flickered shut.
When Mara's eyes opened, the porthole by the bed showed that night had descended on the ocean.
Bas was right, she did feel better after resting. And not only did she feel better, she wanted Bas.
She wanted him to be close to her. She wanted to feel his lips on her body, his skin on hers. She wanted the comfort only his proximity could bring her.
Sliding off the bed, Mara's bare feet padded on the varnished boards as she headed for the door.
She opened it and found Bas sitting by the door, sleeping but not comfortably. At the sound of the door opening, Bas awoke. He was sitting by the door to protect Mara, he didn't like the idea of her sleeping with no one there to keep watch on her.
"Oh, hello." She looked down at him, startled as his eyes blinked sleepily.
"Is-is something wrong?" Bas was already standing to his feet, his massive height towering above her.
Mara pursed her lips and shook her head. There were exciting nerves in her stomach as she took a step over the threshold of the cabin and into the corridor.
Taking a bold step, Mara pressed her lips to Bas' and immediately she found home.
Bas' eyes widened in surprise and he took large steps forwards, pushing her with his hips into their cabin again.
With a kick of his foot, the door slammed shut behind them, hiding their desperate and needy kiss from the world.
"Mara," Bas panted as he desperately tried to reign in his desire for her.
"Bas." She moaned in reply, leaning in for another kiss as her palms searched up his shirt for his chest.
"Are you sure, Mara?" His eyes desperately searched hers. "You tell me to stop and I will."
"I dont... I don't want you to stop, Bas." Mara admitted as she took a step back to catch her breath.
"I want you." She whispered, her eyes not faltering as she stared at him, her fingers teased him as she slowly undid the buttons of the shirt she was wearing.
"I want you too." Bas admitted as his eyes followed each inch of skin that the undoing buttons revealed.
He had always been a greedy man, and with this white flesh teasing him, he was prepared to have it all.
