TW for suicide, character death
You know, Percy never thought his life would come to this, standing on the edge of a cliff with a gun in his hand. Of course, he didn't expect Annabeth to die either. Life really was going after him.
Time to leave the world that hates him.
Four years ago, one of his best friends died fighting Caligula. Three years ago, Grover went missing and was reported dead a week later by the Council. Then, two years ago, he lost the love of his life and his mother. They died in a plane crash, the official cause of the crash by engine failure, but Percy blamed Zeus. Percy blamed the gods for everything. They were the reason he was here, alive, so he was going to take it his own route for once. For once, his life wasn't controlled by anyone but himself.
He got the gun from the weapons cabin at camp. He had stuck it in his pocket, the metal clinking against a ring, and walked out. He smiled at Nico, who was helping out at the infirmary, who waved back and shot him a small grin. Little did the son of Hades know, that would be the last time he saw his friend alive.
He walked up to a cliff outside of camp, staring over the sea. His domain, and it would be his last resting place.
When he got to the cliff, he pulled the celestial bronze gun out of his pocket with his left hand and grabbed a pearl and gold ring with his right. Placing it in the palm of his hand, he looked at it and smiled softly. This was the ring he gave Annabeth three months before she died. The police collected it from the wreckage along with a book of his mother's and a necklace Paul had given her. That was all that survived of his mother, and this was all that survived of Annabeth. He clenched his fist and brought it up to his forehead, sighing. He kissed his fist, whispering four words.
"Love ya Wise Girl"
A gunshot was heard 2 miles away, ringing around the cove and signaling another death caused by the gods.
When Percy Jackson woke up from a blackness he thought would never end, he was met with two faces he hadn't seen in two years, his mother and his fiancée.
"You drool when you're dead Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said, and embraced him once again, the pair together once more.
