Fabray Estate
Martha paced the great room with a deep scowl painted on her face.
Kitty had just returned from school and the girl quickly noticed the dark cloud looming over her mother as soon she stepped inside. "What's going on? Is Quinn here again?"
Brittany gave a small nod, frowning at an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"Who knows what she's telling your father behind closed doors," Martha scoffed. "First the house, then the bank book, she's trying to sow discord. Your father's like under a spell, going along with her words."
"I'll fix her!" Kitty sneered.
"No! We don't want to cause any more trouble," Brittany interjected.
The sound of a pair of wedges against the hardwood floors halted their conversation.
"Our dear sister Quinn has reappeared," Kitty said, giving a sickeningly sweet smile.
"Did you do a stock check on your father's vault?" Martha asked sarcastically.
Quinn ignored them and proceeded for the door until Kitty stepped in front of her.
"How much did you get from Papa? Care to share it?"
Stevie came running into the room with a toy truck and tugged on Quinn's hand. "Sister Quinn, you have money? Buy me a toy plane, the kind with remote control!"
"Steven!" Martha scolded, pulling the boy back and poking his temple. "She's not your sister. One day, she's going to skin you alive and eat you whole. Get out of the way!"
"I want a plane! I want it!"
"Do I have to go upstairs and get Papa so you can let me go?" Quinn questioned when Kitty blocked her path once more.
"Don't get arrogant with your father's backing," Martha taunted. "Seriously, like mother, like daughter. Go ask your mother how she threw herself at your father. All of New England knows how she stopped him in the street."
Quinn's nostrils flared and her fists clenched. "Talk rubbish if you must, but I warn you - keep my mother out of your mouth."
"I spoke the truth. I underestimated Judy Martin. I drove her out of the Fabrays and now she found her way back. She wants a new house now, does she think she's a new bride?"
Quinn whipped around to head for the door but Kitty stepped a foot out, causing her to trip and bang her head against the wall.
"She took a tumble! Ha!" Stevie laughed.
Brittany rushed over to Quinn. "Are you alright?"
Quinn grimaced as she held her forehead, trying to ease the throbbing. Her eyes flickered up to find worried blue pools looking back at her. She stared at Brittany for a moment before she pushed the girl away and ran out.

Fabray Cottage
Santana brushed Quinn's blonde bangs back and inspected the bruise above her brow as Judy dabbed the wound with rubbing alcohol.
"Honestly, I went over there with good intentions," Quinn grimaced. "I didn't want to start anything, but Martha and Kitty wouldn't let up. It was infuriating."
