After a VERY crazy trip for Miss Piggy, she was finally inside the house, where it was nice and warm… and with Kermit. And after the beautiful medley everyone sang together to reveal their holiday spirits, and while the heaters were making the place even warmer, Steven and Stevey were placing little stockings around the fireplace.
“And… there!” Steven smiled. “Your stocking is hung by the fireplace so Santa can bring you a present!”
“But… when I grow up… will it be embarrassing?” Stevey asked.
“Oh… That’s a good point…” Steven remembered. “Welp. Time to get it down before you grow!”
“No, no, no! Steven!” Stevey halted. “I didn’t say that, silly!”
Meanwhile, on the living room couch, Kermit and Miss Piggy were finally having their own time and having a talk… but Kermit ended up remembering something!
“You know, Miss Piggy? I think it’s time I gave you YOUR present!” Kermit remembered.
Miss Piggy, understandably, was very excited as she bounced off her seat, feeling bubbly with utter excitement. “Oh, really?! Oh, tell me! What is it? What is it?!”
“Well, your present is… a mink.” Kermit answered.
Miss Piggy couldn’t believe it! She even SCREAMED! “A mink?!”
“A mink!” Kermit repeated.
“I've always wanted it!” Miss Piggy cheerfully exclaimed. “Where is it?! Where is it?! Where is it?!”
“Uhh… Maurine?” Kermit called.
And sure enough, Maurine the Mink whooshed in to see her! She was a Muppet Mink with Miss Piggy's same hairstyle and feather bow.
“Hi!” Maurine greeted the female pig. “I'm Maurine the Mink!”
But Miss Piggy ended up feeling confused, since she was actually thinking that it was a Mink coat instead of a living and apparently talking one. “What?!”
“She said Hi! I'm Maurine the Mink!” Kermit answered.
“I heard her! I heard her!” Miss Piggy growled. “This is… This is the mink?! My mink?!”
“Of course!” Kermit replied
“Oh, Miss Piggy!” Maurine smiled. “I've seen everything you've done! I'm your biggest fan! I worship the ground you walk on!”
Fortunately… Miss Piggy ended up turning from steaming mad… to being very pleased with her gift as she gave it a hug. “What a wonderful present!”
Meanwhile, Robin and Grover watched the heartwarming scene… until Robin decided to do something very special.
“Speaking of presents, Grover…” Robin added to the fuzzy blue monster as he gave him the pebble that Boober gave him. “I'd like you to have this Fraggle pebble.”
Grover gasped as he accepted the little rock as his gift! “Th… This Fraggle pebble here is for me?! Oh, I just LOVE Christmas!”
Suddenly, there was yet another ring from the front doorbell, much to everyone’s confusion. But guess who came to the house. It was Greg Universe… dressed up as Santa Claus!
“Ho, ho, ho!” Greg cheered. “Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas, everyone!”
Stevey gasped in complete amazement. “Wow! Santa IS real!”
But of course… They decided to share one last song together as a group. TOONs and Muppets.
We wish you a merry Christmas! We wish you a merry Christmas!
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Good tidings we bring to your and your kin!
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!We wish you a merry Christmas! We wish you a merry Christmas!
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Good tidings to you wherever you are!
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!We wish you a merry Christmas! We wish you a merry Christmas!
We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! But Miss Piggy had a surprise… well… for Kermit! “Kermie! Look up, dear!”
“Uh oh!” Kermit gasped as he saw what one of the Handy Helpers was holding above him. “Mistletoe!”
But because it was the time for Christmas magic, they decided to share a kiss with each other under the mistletoe, which was a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season as a couple.
“Merry Christmas, Kermie.” Miss Piggy smiled.
“Merry Christmas, Piggy.” Kermit smiled back.
“Merry Christmas, everyone!” Drawer and Toodles wished the viewers.
“Merry Christmas!” everyone else cheered.
But sure enough, as he panned away from the fuzzy and animated crowd in the hallway, Bugs was wearing a Santa hat too! Heck! Instead of a carrot, he had a candy cane!
"Don't you just LOVE da holidays?" Bugs chuckled as he munched on the candy cane and winked to the audience.
And after the Handy Helper closed the front door, we were greeted to one last surprise in the grand tradition of the Looney Tunes. Porky Pig then stuck out his head through the wreath and attempted to recite his VERY signature line. Because… why not, right?
“Th… th… th…” Porky stuttered before Steven and Stevey suddenly appeared. “That's all Folks!”
But because of their team effort, they all shared a heartwarming laugh as the camera soon pans far away from the snow-covered and decorated TOON House. But at the same time… a familiar voice is soon suddenly heard in the air.
Watch out for each other. Love everyone and forgive everyone... including yourself. Forgive your anger. Forgive your guilt. Your shame. Your sadness. Embrace and open up your love, your joy, your truth, and most especially… your heart.
The real shocker… was the man who said the line. As we approach Heaven, the late and great Jim Henson himself just smiled down, knowing that his legacy, although he was unable to live it, was still carrying on, even after his untimely passing, especially during the holiday season.
Dedicated to the incredible life and legacy of Jim Henson. Without you and your creative vision for the Muppets, none of this would’ve been possible. Gone… but truly not forgotten. You really were… inspirational. Celebrational. Muppet-atational. You’re still deeply missed.
