"..Again?" Hina widen her eyes. "No, Haruto. Go back to your class, I won't do that relay thing or physical activity anymore. I have something else to do," She added.
"Please, please, just this time. Mr, Watanabe is actually fond of you, this way I could get my grades higher than everyone. Please, Hina." Hina shook her head for the nth time. Out of the blue Haruto kneels.
Everyone in the hallway is starting to look at the siblings. Embarrassed Hina quickly make his stood up, dusting his pants. "Hey, alright alright, don't ever do that again. I don't want you to beg like that.." She exhaled.
Satisfied by her response. Haruto claps his hand out of excitement. "Yesss, I'm looking forward, huh huh? Let's meet during lunch."
"Lunch? I thought after school?"
"Nah, Mr Watanabe told us to gather during our free time which happens to be lunch time. We will spend the time in classroom though, so please help me out." Haruto waved before he leave, "Don't stood me up, I will take it to heart, my dear sister Himari Hina!"
*The audacity of this kid to shout and call me across the hallway. I can't do that. I have to meet up with Ran this lunch break.* Hina was confused yet she can't literally do anything about it as Haruto already vanished.
She decided to shrugged it off and head back in to class. This time, she decided help her helpless brother with the complete thought that Ran would consider and understand.
Without a word, Hina left the classroom as soon as the bell rings. Yui and Akari failed to stopped her as the door was crowded with their classmates trying to rush for cafeteria.
"Where the heck is she going? Bathroom?" Akari was worried. *I made a promise to Ran that they'll eat together, and Hina would be spending time with him. This is a fail.* She face palmed. "Lunch?" Clueless Yui dragged her to the Cafeteria. "Hina will be fine, I'm sure she'll catch up with that."
Akari groan, "No, you don't understand.." She groans again, annoyed.
"A pork cutlet will solve that grumpu monster in you, Akari. Now, let's just eat cause I'm actually starving.."
*Like you know, you're too clueless to understand, Yui. I just wish you're also informed about this.* Akari gave in, trying to formulate another shameless excuse to expecting Takahashi Ran.
The cafeteria was packed with students. It was twice the number as the rumors of Sports Department going to eat in the cafeteria was spread out.
At the furthest, it was Yuki and Aimi's table adjacent to Ran and Yuji's. The two showed up. Akari couldn't even make an eye contact to Ran. He looked at her like he already knew about Hina not being able to attend lunch. Again, he was frustrated.
"Oh, I see no Hina around. Where is she?" Yuji asks. Akari nervously responded, "It's cause her brother I think? He needed her..to do something for him? I actually don't know what they're up to. I saw them talking,"
Ran nodded, "I see, come on. Sit down," She oblige. Yuki stood up to get another food tray, "You know what, this is on me since you two showed up for us." He went in line. "Thanks."
It was also the time Akari had to apologize again. "Listen Ran, I tried to catch up with Hina earlier but she left as soon as she can. I don't even know why, but I just hope you understand."
Ran nodded again, it was like he's custom to do that. You can feel that he's not in the mood to talk but tried his best to hide it by letting out a smile. "..Alright, it's okay. She needs to support her brother, I can't do anything with that. For now, let's just eat."
"She promised. Next time, you're gonna have a quality time with her. OK?" Akari assured him. Ran didn't respond. In return, he took off and put away the food tray.
*No. It's just that promises are made with the intention to be kept, but most are not met. I hope she makes promises that she knows she can keep.* Ran thought to himself. Leaving his friends behind and go back to the gym where he thinks he can spend the time all for himself.
"Oh dear, we're in such big trouble.." Akari mouthed. Yui immediately sat beside her, "What did you do to piss him off?"
"Nothing, it's just that.." Akari paused, "Maybe it's time for you to be informed as well. I can't do this by myself, but you have to keep it a secret. Just for both of us..Will you do that?"
"Secret? What are you talking about?"
Just like that their anticipated cafeteria moment with the Sport Department Students ended right away. Eventually, Yui found out about their plans. She felt betrayed but there's no time for that—Instead, she gave off a positive reaction.
"We have to make them stick for as long as we can. There's no way I'm letting Hina settle for less. I mean, Takahashi Ran is the only guy I can see that is much suitable to our Himari Hina.." Yui clasp her hands, "If you can do the god's work. I can pretty much partner that with a spice."
"Yui, please don't make it worse. Alright?"
"Yeah, sure. I won't. I think Haruto has to be taught lesson, I mean he keeps meddling with the destiny with Hina and Ran, you know. It's crazy."
