After successfully pulling the sword from the stone, Dean was now believing in reincarnation which was the same way he felt when he discovered that angels were watching over him for many years. Even after he gave up his faith considering he was so destroyed that nothing had saved his parents, now he was starting to accept that he was a reincarnation of King Arthur. Something was still off though, Dean could feel it in his gut, getting the sword was too easy.

"What is it?" Sam asked, noticing that Dean had been quiet ever since he had retrieved the sword. "We got the sword and we can finish this," he continued. Sam didn't understand why Dean looked like he had been punched in the gut.

"That's just it though, it was too easy," Dean answered. Sam was going to say that his brother was just being paranoid but then his entire body went cold and his head began pounding. He didn't understand what was happening but it seemed like his magic was sensing something it didn't like. If all this confusion wasn't enough for the younger Winchester an unfamiliar voice started talking to him inside his head.

"Hello Emrys," at first Sam thought the voice was Merlin. But considering that the voice sounded like his own and made his skin crawl.

"Mordred," Sam snarled back, unaware of how he was using telepathy. Now he knew why his magic was acting up, because Mordred was walking the earth again and he wanted to rip the kid limb from limb.

"What's the matter? Not happy to hear me?" Mordred mocked.

"I don't know what you're up to, but I won't let you touch him again!" Sam declared.

"Sammy?!" Dean exclaimed, trying to get his brother's attention. Sam didn't answer as he couldn't hear anything except for Mordred's voice. Similar to what had happened when he had one of his memory flashes, Sam was unable to control his emotions or his magic. Lighting flashed in the sky bringing dark clouds with it and the ground cracked briefly.

"Elaine, what's wrong with him?" He asked. Elaine knew that Sam was talking to Mordred because no one else would bring out Merlin, like the young knight who slayed his king.

"It's Mordred," Elaine answered and tried to use her own magic to calm Sam down. However, she was no match for the most powerful wizard in the world, especially when he wasn't in the right mind.

"I'm going to kill him," Sam suddenly said.

"I'm probably just going to come back and who knows I could be watching you right now," Mordred replied through telepathy. After giving Sam a sinister laugh he cut the connection satisfied with his actions. Determined to get his hands on Mordred for killing Arthur all those years ago, Sam ran off without saying anything. Dean called out for him but Sam was already long gone.

"Well done," Morgana praised her son. Her plan to anger and distract her enemy so that he wouldn't notice that she was tracking them.

"Emrys took the bait," Mordred responded.

"Find him and keep him busy, we can't have him interfere with our plan," Morgana ordered and snapped her fingers causing an army of demons to appear. While the witch had plans to take out Lucifer, he at least had his uses. "Go my son and make me proud," Morgana said to her son before vanishing with her magic.

"What was that about?" Dean asked Elaine. He was still shocked as to why his brother suddenly ran off. Elaine was about to explain that the voice Sam had heard was Mordred, When suddenly, around them, demons appeared around the forest. Elaine and Dean ended up finding themselves back to back, they were completely surrounded by demons led by Morgana.

"Hello dear brother I believe you have something I want," Morgana sneered. She saw that Dean had successfully pulled out the sword meaning that he really was King Arthur. Angry, she ordered the demons to take him out but to leave the sword for her to take.

"I knew it was too easy," Dean said simply. Dean raised Excalibur and began fighting with skills he didn't know he had. The demons dropped like flies the second they were slashed by Dean's blade. When the other demons saw that their companions were falling, they stopped in place not sure what to do but due to Morgana leading them she ordered the demons to keep fighting, each time the demons attacked Dean would slice and cut them practically knocking each of them down. However, while Elaine was trying to help she was completely overrun by demons. Eventually, she couldn't take much more when a demon stabbed her in the stomach, mortally wounding her. She gasped as she collapsed on the ground, Dean turned completely distracted and barely heard himself yell for Elaine. In the brief distraction, Meg knocked the sword out of Dean's hands making it fall on the ground disarming Dean. Dean stumbled and saw that he did not have his sword. He tried to get up and reach his weapon but two demons held him back.

"If I knew that the key to defeating you was like this I would have done it centuries ago," Morgana taunted as she approached Dean. He remained silent not wanting to let her see that she was getting under his skin.

"Such a pity I had higher hopes for you sister," Morgana said to the dying Elaine. "I guess you were wrong, after all he's no King Arthur," she spat, putting her hands around the handle of Excalibur. Despite being held back Dean was practically annoyed by Morgana's words.

"Do you ever stop talking?" Dean said rudely. "No wonder you were stabbed, you talk too much," Enraged Morgana used her magic to make him kneel.

"I was only killed because of your stupid pet wizard!" She screamed. "But I will no longer be kept from my throne by you, I am the queen!" In her rage she tried to pick up Excalibur so she could kill Dean. "Say hi to Daddy for me," however when she tried to pick it up she couldn't.

"Problem little sister?" Dean said, without thinking, he tripped the demons breaking free from their grip. Dean dove for the sword and grabbed it, lifting it up with no problem. "After all only the true reincarnation of king arthur can pick up the sword,"
