🗣️The Message📜

The Word says that our bodies are temples because The Holy Spirit resides in us and because of this we must honor God with our bodies. We do this by serving God, praising God, and obeying God. But when a person doesn't honor God with their body, their temple weakens them until they fall. In Matthew 7:24-29, Jesus was telling the people a parable about obedience. He starts off by saying, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Jesus was saying build your life, your temple on Christ who is the rock, stable, unchanging, unmoving, strong, and reliable. Don't build your life on anything else because it will all pass away like sand, which is unreliable, always changing, always moving, and sometimes disappears into the sea. We go through life and see others building their lives on worldly things and they seem to be doing better because they have a good car, apartment, or job. Or we look at people that we think are being holy and honoring God based on all the great things we see them doing, but they're not obeying God. God will judge us for the unseen and the seen things, what people saw and what they didn't see, our job is to obey God no matter what others are doing because He wants us to be strong and prepared for the storms in our lives. In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus talks about the end when everyone will be judged and about people coming to Him and telling Him of their good works, but Jesus revealed that they were breakers of God's law. The time of Judging is the rain, floodwaters, and the wind in His parable, but it is also the trials God puts us through, will we stand firm and be strong when disaster happens, when we lose a job, a home, or a loved one when bad things happen to us will we be able to stand, Well God's Word says only if we build our life on Him. If you've lived your life with The world as your foundation when the storm comes how will you stand, that temple will collapse and fall because it was false. So today evaluate your life, are you building it on the rock, is your temple unshakable because you trust The Lord and have made Him you're number one, or is it built on sand because you trust The world more than God?
