James and I are going through the footage. There are six people who've been in this building in the past three days. Mara, Daryl, and my four guys who were in here this morning.
We'd start with Carlos, Ace, Elijiah and Alexander. Because they were the last ones in here. I was furious. And I was out for blood. My people were stealing from me. They were going behind my back.
We were at our office now. The first one to be interviewed was Carlos, Alexander, Then Elijiah. It was a lot more intimidating with both James and I there.
"If you didn't do it then who did Carlos? Did you see anything?" He shakes his head no. "Tell me. Or I can shoot you and whoever did it."
I was livid now. I wasn't getting anywhere with Carlos Ace or Elijiah. The last one was Alexander. If I didn't get answers from him, I had to move on to Mara and Daryl. And there was no way either of them did it. So it was useless.
"Alex. You're the last one. Nobody has seen anything. Nobody took the coke. So did it just magically fucking disappear!? What's next? A fucking unicorns going to appear out of nowhere?"
He says nothing. "Yea I can ducking retire off that couldn't I?" Nothing. "I should just kill you all. Why not? I'm not trying anywhere, and one of you did it."
James slams his hand down on the desk. "SPEAK GOD DAMN IT." Hot. That was hot. I was pissed, but that calmed me down a little bit. I might have to help calm him down later.
"Your other two, Mara and Daryl, they were in there too Miss Ridley. I know you don't wanna believe it because you brought them in when you first started, but it was one of them."
"So now you're questioning my judgement? And how do you now it's one of them? Did you see them? Which one was it huh? If you don't give me answers I swear to god Alex-"
"It was Mara. She came in and said she had to get coke for you and it was an emergency something went wrong with a deal. So she had to do it quickly and you said that you would fix the inventory yourself, for nobody else to touch it."
"And you didn't bother checking with me before you let her walk off with nine fucking bags of cocaine? None of you decided to check with me!?"
"We trusted her, just like you did. We didn't have a reason not to." I shake my head and slam my fist against the desk. Three of them covered for Mara, didn't tell me, Alex questioned my judgment.
They were useless now. "Load them up, you drive we're heading to the docks. Get Mara load her up too. I'm ending this now."
James leaves and does as I told him. He loads them all into a van. He drives to the docks while I sit in the passenger seat. When we arrive to the docks it's dark. Perfect. No witnesses. Perfect.
James helps me unload them from the van, they were all cuffed. They were lined up. All five of them. On their knees. On the ground. And they knew what was coming. That was the worst part.
They knew what I was going to do. They all looked at me, waiting. And I couldn't have James do it, that would make me look weak. I had to do this.
"Mara, you have one minute to explain to me why the fuck you took my coke." She was crying. I hated that. It made me soft. Not soft enough to let her off the hook though.
"I needed the money." She sobbed. "My brother, he was in trouble. I had to pay his debt I needed the money. Im sorry." I pull my gun out of my waist band and hold it to her head. My face inches from hers.
"And you couldn't ask!? I DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU! ALL OF YOU! You know I would've helped you and you stole from me anyway. You stole from me."
I cock the gun. "I don't trust you. And you know what I have to do. All of you. All of you covered for her. So now, I have to kill all of you because you protected her. Because you took advantage and because I can not trust any of you!"
"Please Miss Ridley I promise I'll give you the money I won't tell anyone just don't kill me. Please. My brother needs me." I'm going soft. What if her brother was just a kid. "Yea? How old is he?"
"He's 22." I shake away my doubt. "He's a grown man. He doesn't need you." I look at James, my eyes pleading for him to stop me, I hated killing people.
I talked about it like it was nothing. Like I didn't mind it. But I only killed people if I had to. And I cared about these people. But I couldn't let them live.
My eyes were pleading James to do it for me. To help me. I guess he didn't get the message because he just nodded his head. A silent 'go ahead. What're you waiting for.' I guess I was waiting for nothing.
So I pulled the trigger. Then I moved onto Carlos. And I pulled the trigger. Then Elijah. I pulled the trigger. Alexander. Trigger. Ace. Trigger.
Then I broke.
