James and I walked into the doctors office hand in hand. We were in the waiting area for a half an hour before moved back into a room.

We waited for the doctor for another half an hour while a nurse took some blood and had me lay back on a table and pull my shirt dress up mast my belly.

When the doctor came in she smiled and greeted James and I. "Hi, I'm Dr. Robins, how are you both doing today?" She was pretty.

Blonde, blue eyes, tall. "Good, how are you?" James responds as he shakes her hand. "Im great. And how about you mama? How're you feeling?"

"She's exhausted all the time, and she always wants to sleep. She keeps craving donuts and when I wake her up for any reason, even for the appointment she gets really mad at me." James explains and looks at me scared, like I'm going to yell at him.

Doctor Robins looks at me for confirmation and I laugh and hold James's hand. "Yes, I crave donuts. I am pretty tired and it's because of the morning sickness, which let me tell you does not just happen in the morning, and mood swings is a big check."

She chuckles and nods. "Well, you have a very observant and supportive husband Mrs. Barnes. All pregnancies are hard but they're so much easier with someone you love by your side."

"He does make my life a lot easier." I say looking up at James and smiling. He smiles back down at me. "I feel so bad about getting mad at him sometimes, is there anything I can do for the mood swings?"

"Unfortunately no. There is nothing I can do about that. And I know you can't control that and he seems to know that too and you are carrying his child so as long as he keeps you fed and you sleep enough you should be fine." She laughs and her answer makes James and I laugh.

James bends down and plants a soft kiss on my lips. "I told you I don't care if you yell at me, I know you don't mean it. And I love you. And I love our little baby that you're growing in your belly."

"Speaking of the little baby in your belly..." doctor robins says with a smile on her face as she grabs a wand and gel. "Let's see the baby, yea?"

James and I nod excitedly and he squeezes my hand. Our eyes are glued to the screen as we see a little black and white image of something that looks like it's the size of an orange.

That was our baby. My eyes water and I can hear James sniffle beside me, and when I think I can't get any more emotional, the sound of our babies heartbeat echos through the room.

"You have a very healthy baby Eliza." Doctor robins says. "We can't tell if it's a bot or a girl yet, during your next appointment in six weeks we can, but for now I can print you some pictures and you can be on your way if you don't have any questions." She says.

"James, that's our baby." I say ignoring her, not intentionally but I'm in shock that that's our kid in their. This was our first time seeing our baby.

"And it's heartbeat." He whispers and a tears slips down his cheek. "I love you Eliza." He says and kisses my forehead. "Thank you." He mumbles against my hair. "For what?" I ask looking up at him.

"For giving me a baby." He says. I pull his lips down to mine and give him a short sweet kiss. I look back up at Doctor Robins. "How far along am I?"

"You're two and a half months pregnant. By the time you come back for your next appointment you'll be four months along." She says handing me a few pictures of the baby.

"Okay. Thank you. That was the only question." I said and she wipes my stomach off and I put my shirt down. "Okay, we'll see see you in six weeks. Have a good day." She smiles and waves.

"Thank you so much." I say and James quickly pulls me out of the Doctors office and as soon as we get outside he lifts me up.

I wrap my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist and he kisses me. "I love you so much." He whispers through the kisses. "I love you more."
