alphatauri are celebrating another year with twenty-three year old assistant pit crew manager dakota mcmanus, who has now been officially eith the team for two years but has been around the track for ages more. her grandfather was the best pit crew manager alphatauri and honda have seen, mcmanus taking up the post after her grandfather's stroke about a year and a half ago

                            DAKOTA MCMANUS ISN'T FEELING THE HOLIDAY CHEER AS THE ALPHATAURI FORMULA ONE TEAM DESCENDS IN DUBAI FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. It's  November twenty-second, and with one month and three days until Christmas- yes, she's counting- Koda seems to feel sadder than usual, something that not even her world travel with the AlphaTauri F1 team can fix. She longs to go back to Australia and spend her Christmas surfing and caring for the family of koalas that lives in her parents' backyard, but instead finds her holiday season primarily devoted to keeping AlphaTauri racers Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda out of trouble on the track. With her round glasses and dreamy eyed expression, Dakota is AlphaTauri's secret weapon- although she's still not enough for them to beat out Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull on the track.

                                YUKI TSUNODA IS THE YOUNGEST DRIVER ON THE F1 CIRCUIT.  A rookie at just 21 years old, he's often in over his head, especially when in competition with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. He relies heavily on Dakota and her shining optimism to keep him grounded, not only as the voice in his ear when he's on the track, but for the energy she exudes off the track. At least, when it's not Christmas time. And don't even dare mention the events of AlphaTauri's Christmas party two years prior, when he was still racing F2 and Koda had just been promoted. The only rule of their friendship was to never talk about it again.

                                   DAKOTA WANTS NOTHING MORE THAN FOR THE FORMULA 1 SEASON TO END SO SHE CAN GO HOME. At least, until Australia's reinforced pandemic restrictions leave her stranded in Dubai with the rest of the AlphaTauri team. Now, instead of spending Christmas with sun, sand and surf, she's spending it stuck at a race track in Dubai with a ton of people she'd rather not see until the 2022 racing season. If Koda wasn't feeling the holiday cheer before, she definitely isn't feeling it now. Attentive to Dakota's seasonal depression, Yuki and teammate Pierre Gasly set out to make this Christmas one that Dakota certainly won't forget, in an effort to bring back her long-lost holiday cheer.
