Gradually, three weeks passed, with no luck of finding out any more about the murderer. Snowstorm flopped back onto the sand of the island, worn out and hopeless. she was starting to miss being an IceWing, more and more with each passing day, and worried about the animus spell affecting her dragonets.

"Let's go visit Queen Dolphin," Whale suggested, tugging on Snowstorm's tail like a whiny dragonet. Snowstorm outed and put her head on her talons. "Come oooooon. It'll help us get our mind off things." Snowstorm mumbled a protest, but heaved herself to her talons and dragged her turquoise wings through the water. She angled herself into a current, something she had been getting better at lately. She had learned more Aquatic, and she could now exchange simple conversations with other SeaWings.

as she approached the guards, they bustled up to her but relaxed when they recognised her. Aqua, one called Wave addressed her. Welcome. come in, She nodded to them and swam though, dodging around a suspiciously glowing pinkish-blue jellyfish.

They entered the throne room, and Dolphin smiled at Whale. When she spotted Snowstorm, she looked delighted and dropped her scroll and shook out her light blue wings. she flicked her tail at them and ducked around the corner. Whale shrugged at Snowstorm and followed, and they saw Dolphin squeezing through a tunnel slanting up. she could only just fit, but Snowstorm and whale were half her age and could slipped through easily. they swam for about half a minute, before the tunnel opened into a cavern the water trickling into a creek, decorated with glowworms and bioluminescent moss on the ceiling.

"I found this when I was exploring the other day. Isn't it perfect, Aqua?" Snowstorm blinked at her surroundings and nodded slowly. They sat down on piles of moss and talked, and laughed, so distracted that they didn't hear the shouting of guards from outside, or see the haunted green eyes of a dragon in a hood, wielding a small, sharp knife, until it was too late.
