i am no beggar
i have the privilege
of a roof
warm food
the latest fashion
and many
other things i can
carelessly bat an eye at
how ironic
that i don't
beg for a coin
or spare change
but i have a mindset
that has me begging
unavailable individuals
for their availability.
i begged her for an apology.
i begged him for a conversation.
yet,
my pockets are full
of greed.
