Another morning rolled around in the Shekar household. The early bird Ashwin got ready early and roamed around the house. He reached to a wall which was full of photographs. Ashwin curved a smiled looking at this beautiful family's photographs hanging on the wall and obviously it was mostly filled with Sivaangi's childhood photos. Ashwin spotted a photo of Meena when she was young. He doesn't understand this, but everytime he looks at that woman, it gives him an unexplainable feeling. While looking at all those photographs, Ashwin noticed something strange. There was always an empty spot left in every family photo. For an instance, there's a gap between Pugazh and Vishal or there's an empty chair as if that's meant for someone. Little did he know, the empty space was left for him, in a hope that he will return one day. And he did.

"Boo", Sivaangi tried to scare the focused Ashwin.

She got disappointed as he wasn't scared.

"Enna Ashwineyy, avelo serious ah pakkuringeh?", she asked standing beside me.

Ashwin stood silent for a while and asked,

"Intha empty spaces ethuku ?", Ashwin asked cluelessly.

Sivaangi got nervous immediately. She stared at him blank.

"What happened ?", Ashwin asked concerned.

"Onnum ille, Amma kuptangeh..for breakfast", she changed the topic.

Ashwin just followed her even though what just happened was strange.

At the dining table, Rakshan was happily chatting with Suraj which shocked Ashwin to the core. He couldn't believe that was actually happening.

"Vaa macha, uncle rombeh fun ah pesarare", Rakshan said as he saw Ashwin.

Ashwin just stared at him with pure confusion.

"Please sir Ashwin", Shekar said with a smile.

Ashwin sat immediate but still with confusion.

"Enna Ashwin appedi pakeringeh ?", Suraj asked.

"Illeh..onnum illeh", Ashwin startled.

Meena ma was smiling wide looking at Ashwin being comfortable with Shekar and Suraj.

The breakfast ended happier than expected. While everyone left the dining room, Meena ma called Ashwin who were just about to leave.

"Ashwin", she called hesitantly.

Ashwin had the unexpected feeling again. He took a second before turning back to see her. Ashwin walked to her with confusion. Meena ma took a good look at him who resembled her husband. She almost cried but she controlled. She brushed Ashwin's hair and said,

"Good to have you back", and walked away.

Ashwin rarely seen her smile but her smile made him smile. He doesn't understand how it works but it does.

A/N : It's another short chapter but I have an important one coming next so stay tuned ! And also, thanks for all the love, it means so much ❤️ If I didn't reply your comment I'm extremely sorry I might lose it in the notification. I will definitely reply it.

Btw, does anyone else have  nightmares but in the afternoon ? I never had nightmares at night but everytime I take a nap in afternoon, I get these terrible dreams. It's so detailed that I could make a movie with it. I actually had to stop napping. On the other hand, I get the sweetest dreams at night, also tons of Ashaangi dreams. Safe to say that I get my ideas from there. But the nap nightmare, does anyone have it too ?
