The Magnolia's entrance door chimes, indicating the first customer for the day arrived.

The Magnolia, a cozy restaurant of cafe , the dream of Ashwin who doesn't grow up with anything as his own. Growing up at an orphanage, the feeling of it only can be described by those who gone through it. Since the day he knew until he was 18, Gracious Orphanage was his only known home.

Even though it is considered a 'home', he doesn't get to have anything that normal children with parents had. A rage of anger is always inside towards his parents, whom he thinks were selfish for letting him go. In fact, the rage never calmed down. On the bright side, these unfortunate 18 gave him the best gift of his life, Rakshan. He couldn't imaging his life without Rakshan. He was the pillar of strength. Rakshan has a similar background as Ashwin. Unlike Ashwin, he is way more calmer and he doesn't really care about why his parents left him, only for a sole reason, Ashwin.

Each other is all they had in these 28 years of their life. After they left Gracious Orphanage, they worked hard, so they could have something to call thiers. And that's how The Magnolia was born.

"Welcome to The Magnolia mam, please take your seat", Nila, the staff escorted the two elderly women to a table.

"Enna da, daydreaming ah?", Rakshan tapped on Ashwin's shoulder.

Ashwin jerked and regained consciousness and resumed putting on his apron.

"What was the order ?", Ashwin asked.

"Two Egg Benedict and pancakes with syrup", Rakshan passed the order slip to Ashwin and walked over to the drink section to brew some coffee.

Ashwin walked into the kitchen and junior Chef Niraj rushed through back door, where the employees entrance were.

"Sorry sir , I got stuck in traffic. What's the order, I'll make it", Niraj said panting and grabbing his apron.

"It's okay Niraj, I will make this order. You go make yourself something to drink first", Ashwin said while dropping an egg into boiling water.

"Thank you sir", Niraj said.

"How many times I've told you to stop calling me sir ? Just call me Ashwin", Ashwin said.

"Okayy sir..sorry Ashwin", Niraj said as he walked over to Rakshan.

Ashwin prepared the dishes and handed over to Nila who headed out to serve the customers. Ashwin took off his apron and hang it on the hook. He walked over to an empty table and sat there in empty thought.

"Enna macha, inniki ore mathiri iruke ?", Rakshan said while winking to a girl next table.

"Thirunthave mattele ?", Ashwin asked annoyed.

"Ithelam irundha thaa macha life'eh. Seri nee solle, what's the matter ?", Rakshan asked.

"We have all the material things we ever wanted since we were kids. We have house , car , money and everything, you name it. But sometimes it still feels a little empty you know ? Like something is missing ?", Ashwin explained.

"Athaa naa soldren, oru ponna pathu love pannu, aprom ellam seri ayidum", Rakshan gave his silly advice.

Ashwin rolled his eyes and said,

"Ethachum ore girl ellam love panna mudiyathe da, athe thaana varanum", Ashwin said blushing.

"Yenda dey, ethana ponnunge vanthe unta propose pannange, yen anthe Nila ponne'ke kude un mela kannu thaa", Rakshan said lowering his voice on Nila part.

"Athellam unmeyana love ille da, all the girls proposed to me is now commited right", Ashwin argued.

"Nee ethachu panne, enakku vezhai iruke", Rakshan said walking to a customer.
