"You mean you still have to tutor him even after you said no?!" Lori asked in disbelief.

"Yeah Mr. Jurel said I was the only one that could get through to him. If you count him humping the air and cursing at me, then yeah, I've gotten through." I scoffed.

It didn't help that everybody was stuck in school due to the snow. Now I have no way to avoid tutoring him today.

"Maybe you could tell Mr. Jurel you have to help me? Then we could just hang until they let us out."  Lori offered.

"The hell? Why didn't I think of that?"  I stood up and brought Lori with me to find Mr. Jurel.

We walked down the hall and through the gym that was filled with teenagers smoking pot and making out. It was like watching some cheap porno. We quickly got out of there.

"Do you think Mr. Jurel would-" Lori started but then got hit in the face by an opening door.

Diane came out with a panicked look at her face, "Oh shit Lori! I'm so sorry."

"Don't stress about it." Lori smiled, rubbing her nose.

"What're you doing in Mr. Troy's room?" I questioned.

"I need to bring my grade up in gym. Extra credit yknow?"

"Oh believe me she does know." Lori giggled. I slapped her on the arm.

"I'm assuming that has to do with that Pilikian kid? I heard he's a pain in the ass."

"He is."

"Welp, we gotta go Diane. See ya." Lori blew her a kiss and linked arms with me.  Pulling me away.

"What's the rush?"

"I owe Diane 5 bucks. I wanted to get out of there before she remembered." Lori smirked. She owes a lot of people money. Including me.

"Yeah you also owe me-"

"MR. JUREL! CAN BRANDI TALK TO YOU FOR A SECOND?" Lori screamed right in my face, making me jump and almost piss myself.

Mr. Jurel hesitated for a moment but came over anyways.  Lori takes some getting used to.

"Yes, what do you need Miss Hazlett?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Well, she needs some help with an essay she got for English class. Anddddd I was wondering if Lori, here," I hooked my arm around her, "could be my student for today."

"Miss Hazlett, you are already booked to help Eddie Pilikian."

"Can't I just help him out tomorrow instead?"

He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, "Lori can join, but you still need to see Eddie."  He negotiated.

"Alright.  Thanks Mr. Jurel."  I knew I couldn't get out of helping Eddie so I might as well have Lori as company.

"No problem.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go bust some pot smoking teenagers."  Mr. Jurel pushed passed us and headed off to the gym.

"We can totally ditch Eddie after 5 minutes." Lori giggled and nudged me.

      "It's a plan."

Me and Lori started our way to the counselors office.  Eddie should be there.  If he isn't, that doesn't surprise me.

We rounded the corner and I opened the door, "Hi Pilikian."  I grumbled.
