"Should I be this big already?" Sara asked as she looked at her stomach. It had been a few weeks since they had found out they were going to be parents and even though they knew it was horrible circumstances they were still excited.
"I don't know, maybe we got the age wrong?" Nico told Sara who just shook her head no as she knew she was right on the development stage as it was impossible for it not to be.
Nico was the only person in over 2 or 3 years that she had even been around basically. It was impossible to get the gestational age wrong.
"No Nico, that has to be the right stage. It's impossible not to be," Sara told Nico who just laughed a little as he looked at her.
"Well looks like we're gonna have a big baby either that or we're having twins or something," Nico playfully told Sara whose eyes immediately widened as she looked at him.
She knew he was playing around, but now she wouldn't be surprised if it actually was twins or maybe even more than that.
Nico noticed Sara's expression as he quickly stopped laughing. "Sara, I was kidding," Nico told his girlfriend who just shook her head no as she looked at him.
"I know but now that I think about it. What if it is twins or worse triplets or something! I mean don't get me wrong I would love them all no matter what, but do you know how complicated of a birth that would be and we're in a pandemic! Oh my god! What are we going to do! And how are we supposed to handle raising multiples at the same time!" Sara cried out as she began to panic at the possibility of not just having one but multiple babies at the same time.
Nico just gently brought Sara into a hug as he looked at her. "Sara, it's okay. We'll figure it out together. That's why we have each other. We don't know if it's multiples. It could just be a misconception. Either way if it is or if it's not no matter what we'll be fine," Nico told Sara as he tried to reassure her that everything would be okay despite him being worried himself.
Nico wasn't stupid and he knew that the risks Sara mentioned were very much there, but he also knew that freaking out Sara more wasn't going to help any of them.
Sara just smiled a little as she laid her head down on Nico and looked up at him. "Yeah you're right, but Nico for real what if it is triplets or something. How am I supposed to deliver?" Sara asked Nico as she was starting to feel better, but the truth was if it was multiples she had no clue how she was going to handle delivering them.
"Then we'll find a doctor like an immune one and they can help us," Nico told Sara trying to ease her worries.
Sara just nodded as she didn't know if that was even possible. She seriously doubted that there were any doctors left, but they would cross that path when they got to it.
"Okay you're right everything will be fine," Sara told Nico as she gave him a small smile making him smile back. "Yeah and I can't believe this is really happening! I'm gonna be a dad! I can't wait!" Nico told Sara as he was beyond excited.
Nico had always wanted to be a father and now he was about to be and with Sara's baby or babies. Sara was the love of his life and he couldn't believe that their dream future was really coming true as they had finally gotten out of the city and were now living in their new home where they can be together and be more free.
And now in nine months they were going to be a family. Sara just smiled as she looked down at her stomach and rubbed the bump that was already there. "I know and I can't believe I'm finally going to be a mom. I've always wanted to be a mom. I just really wish it wasn't like this," Sara told Nico who nodded in understanding. "Yeah I know, but look on the bright side at least we're going to have mini versions of us. How cute will that be," Nico told Sara, making her smile again at the thought of little mini versions of her and Nico.
"You're right, that will be cute. Can you imagine a little version of you. Aw he would be so cute," Sara told Nico, making him blush as he hugged her. "That would be cute, but you know what would be even cuter?" Nico playfully asked Sara.
"No, what?" Sara asked Nico, making him laugh as he pointed to her. "Little mini versions of you. That would be the cutest thing ever," Nico told Sara, making her blush as well as she looked at her boyfriend and kissed him. "Well you're right about that. I'm assuming you want girls. I would have thought you would have wanted a son," Sara told Nico who just laughed.
"To be honest I don't care what I have as long as it's healthy or if we're having multiples than as long as they're healthy. I just want healthy children," Nico told Sara who smiled as she nodded. "Yeah I know I feel the same. As long as the baby or babies are healthy I don't care what we have," Sara told Nico who nodded.
"Okay moving on now. If we're going to have a baby or babies we should probably start planning. We're going to need like baby stuff right," Nico told Sara who just nodded.
"Yes but where are we supposed to get baby stuff? We're still in a pandemic, remember." Sara told Nico who groaned as he had almost forgotten that part.
"Oh right. We're immune though," Nico told Sara who looked at him like he was insane.
"I am not leaving the house when I'm pregnant. Who knows what this virus could do to the baby or babies. Especially since we don't know if the baby or babies are immune or not yet," Sara told Nico who nodded as he had forgotten about that part again.
"Right okay um then you can stay here and I'll go look for baby stuff. It can't be that hard to find baby stuff. I doubt people are really having that many babies right now," Nico told Sara as he kissed her then got up and left to go search for baby supplies.
Once Nico left Sara just sighed as she sat down on the couch and looked at her stomach as she smiled. She couldn't believe there was really a baby or babies inside of there as she still didn't know yet if she was having multiples or not.
