Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures

    Nico sighed as he found the house where Sara's sister apparently lived. He still wasn't very sure about all this but right now Sara was in labor with their triplets and they were desperate.

Nico just took a deep breath as he knocked on the door he was shocked though when a younger blue haired version of Sara answered the call. "Hi um my name is Nico are you Evie?" Nico asked the young girl who just nodded as she was unsure what was going on.

"Yeah I'm Evie, how did you get my name and my address? I didn't order any packages!" Evie called out as she answered him, shocking Nico even more by her voice. It sounded almost identical to Sara's voice; there was no denying that Evie was Sara's sister.

"Oh right sorry I forgot to mention your sister Sara is my girlfriend and um she's pregnant with triplets and in labor right now. She said you're a doctor or studying to be one or something. Either way can you help us? Please we're kinda desperate there's no other doctors around and she'll never survive a triplet birth without help," Nico cried out causing Evie to just nod as she tried to process everything that Nico just said.

"Wait what?" Evie asked as she tried to take in everything. "I know it sounds insane but it's true, please we need your help," Nico told Evie who just sighed as she looked at him. "Give me proof that you actually know my sister and I'll let you in," Evie told the older boy who just slowly nodded as he found his phone and a picture that he took recently of the two of them together while Sara was pregnant as he figured Evie would need that as proof as well.

"Here look, this was taken a few weeks ago. I promise I'm not lying. Can you please help us," Nico told Evie as he was desperate. Sara needed help right now and he couldn't leave without Evie.

Evie just smiled a little as she looked at the picture. "Oh wow you're not kidding. She looks so happy in this picture," Evie told Nico as she couldn't help but feel proud that her big sister seemed to be finally getting the family she's always wanted.

Nico smiled as he looked at the picture again before he quickly remembered why he was there again. "Yeah she is and yeah I wouldn't lie about something like this. Now I'm serious, please can you help us out here. We need a doctor and you're apparently the best we have right now," Nico told the young girl who nodded as she just opened the door and quickly let him inside.

"Okay so she's having triplets and you're sure of this?" Evie asked as she quickly started to grab everything she would need. "Yeah well I mean we haven't actually been tested or anything but she's way bigger than she should be, we've been feeling 3 different pairs of kicking, and Sara says she feels multiples moving around. Not to mention that we're not even 9 months in and she's already in labor," Nico rambled out to Evie who nodded again as she continued to just load up her bag.

"Okay yeah that sounds like triplets. Okay so um I'm probably going to be needing help with this. How good are you at medical stuff?" Evie asked Nico who just looked at her in shock as he knew almost nothing about medical stuff and didn't like what Evie seemed to be implying.

"Okay based on your reaction I'm guessing you have zero experience well this is gonna be fun," Evie sarcastically told Nico as she just finished getting everything she would need. "So you live here alone?" Nico asked Evie who just nodded as she grabbed her bag.

"Yeah I don't really have anyone else. I'm immune but that doesn't really change anything. I mean it's not exactly like I can really meet many people right now. Anyway I saw the wrist bands on both of you so I'm assuming we're all 3 immune?" Evie asked Nico who nodded.

"Oh um yeah we're immune," Nico told Evie who smiled. "Okay great well anyway we should probably get back to my sister now. Wow that's crazy to say," Evie told Nico who just looked at the younger girl in confusion.

"So um what exactly happened between you two if you don't mind me asking?" Nico asks the younger girl who just shrugged. "Nothing happened. I just left early to become a doctor and Sara is also a bit older than me so there's also that. Then the lockdown happened and I'm assuming you can probably guess from there," Evie told Nico who just nodded as he understood.

"Oh well I'm sorry you two lost touch but I'm glad you're gonna see her again," Nico told Evie who just smiled and nodded.

"Yeah you're right the past is behind us, let's just focus on the present and helping get those three babies out as safely as we can," Evie told Nico who smiled as he nodded. "Yeah of course so um I guess you can just come with me," Nico told Evie as he pointed to his motorcycle making Evie laugh as she grabbed her stuff and just looked at him.

"Okay like I would ever ride on one of those death machines. Come on, we're taking my car. I'll put the seats down in the car so we can fit your bike along with all my medical equipment. Now hurry it up," Evie told the older boy who just sighed as he wanted to argue about how his bike wasn't a death machine or whatever Evie had called it but he also knew that this wasn't the time to be having a big debate as he just quickly did what Evie said and then got in the car.

"So you're like a genius?" Nico asked Evie once everything had been loaded up in the car and they were driving back to his and Sara's. Evie just laughed as she couldn't help it. "Yeah like I've been tested and stuff. I graduated school like super early and skipped a lot of grades. I've also always known I wanted to be a doctor even before I was old enough to walk," Evie told Nico who laughed as he looked at the younger girl.

"Oh really?" Nico playfully asked Evie who shrugged as she parked the car. "Yeah so this is the house?" Evie asked Nico who nodded. "Okay great let's go in," Evie told Nico as she just quickly grabbed her stuff and followed Nico inside.

Once they were inside they were immediately met with the sounds of screaming and pain as Sara was still having horribly painful contractions. Evie didn't even hesitate as she quickly ran to her big sister and kneeled down by her and Nico did the same.

"Evie, is that really you?" Sara asked in between her contractions causing the younger girl to smile a little as she grabbed her sister's hand trying to comfort her.

"Yeah it's me. I'm back now and I'm gonna help you okay. I'm gonna try my best to make sure all 4 of you survive this okay," Evie told her sister who just winced but nodded as she felt another painful contraction.

"Okay I trust you," Sara told her sister who smiled as she quickly opened up her bag and started sorting through it.

"Alright you go get washed up and put this on you're gonna help me," Evie told Nico who just looked at her like she was insane as he wasn't a doctor and had no clue what she expected him to do.

"Do I look like I'm kidding! Go now and hurry up! You wanted my help. I'm here to help but you have to do what I say! Now hurry up!" Evie quickly told Nico who just hesitated as he looked at her again making Evie get more frustrated.

"But I don't understand, I'm not a doctor, why are you making me wear scrubs?" Nico asked Evie who groaned as she quickly changed herself.

"I don't have a team and I need help here. This is the best chance we have right now at saving all 4 of them. Is that what you want?" Evie asked Nico as she was trying to remain calm but this situation was terrifying and Nico not cooperating with her was making it worse.

"Yes that's what I want but I'm not a doctor. How can I possibly help?" Nico asked the younger girl who rolled her eyes.

"Well congrats today you are and just listen to all my instructions and you'll be fine. Now go and change quickly I'm not playing around," Evie told Nico who nodded as he quickly ran to change not wanting to upset Evie anymore as she was their only hope right now.
