Many problems arose on the day of Thor's party, which was an Asgardian feast and ball rolled into one. Clint had somehow broken his cast that morning, and Sam lost his shoulder sling. That was just the tip of the iceberg.
So all in all, this was already starting to turn up like Steve's forties party, which wasn't a good thing. Tony was starting to realize why parties with the Avengers never lasted longer than a day; things went to shit whenever things were wild for more than 24 hours.
And when it rains, it pours.
So really, no one should have been surprised when Y/N and Peter had walked out of the same bedroom that morning because really they were inseparable. At the first two parties, the pair was so obviously attached at the hip that everyone thought they were dating. And really, they were close to dating anyways. But even at the forties party, the heroes that were there couldn't help but notice how close in proximity they always seemed to be, even with Peter 'avoiding' her.
In reality, none of the heroes should have been surprised when Peter and Y/N emerged from the same room at the same time, not even talking to each other. Y/N had been missing from Natasha's room for quite some time, but no one really expected her to be in Peter's room, especially after how mad she was at him. They all figured she had gone out for a walk.
When the two left, going opposite ways to eat their breakfast, conversation broke out. A lot of people were talking over each other, but Thor's question made everyone stop.
"Is this how all Midgardian relationships are like?" He asked from his spot on the couch, a bloody mary already in his hand.
"Yes," Tony replied though the looks on everyone's faces made Thor confused.

"Can I come in?" Peter heard her soft voice through his door and his heart leaped. It was late, but he hadn't been able to fall asleep anyway. He could barely believe his ears when she had knocked, and all he wanted was to run to the door and pull her into his arms. He settled for simply opening the door, trying not to obviously check her out.
"What, what are you doing here?" Peter stumbled over his words, trying to not seem as nervous as she stood before him, her pajamas hanging loosely on her body. He just wanted to go to sleep with her in his bed.
"I, um, I couldn't sleep." She mumbled, looking down to avoid eye contact.
"Right." Peter cleared his throat. They had never been this awkward. They had never been weird while talking to each other period. "Did you, um, want to come in?" Peter finally asked, and Y/N looked up at him for the first time. He hadn't seen her without makeup since the first night they had spent together at the tower, and he could've sworn her eyes weren't as sunken in, red, or swollen then.
Was she really losing sleep over him?
"Yes please," Y/N said, and Peter side-stepped to let her in.
Once they were both in bed, it only took a moment for Y/N to speak. She was sitting on the bed, head bowed, and for a moment Peter wondered if she was crying.
"Hold me." She whispered, but Peter still could hear her. He scooted closer and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her down to lay against their pillows. Instead of spooning Y/N turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing herself impossibly closer to him.
"Always." He replied, albeit a little late, trying to take her all in. He wanted this forever, to be stuck in this moment of time forever.
