#23 Cedric Diggory

(Y/N) and Cedric were a rare sight to see. Neither of them were ever seen together before. Mostly because the both of them weren't even in the same house. As a matter of fact their houses were complete opposites, as were their personalities. (Y/N) was a Slytherin and Cedric was a Hufflepuff. (Y/N) had friends who were prejudice and cruel to anyone who wasn't a pure-blood. Cedric was friends with practically the entire school and was very well liked by most. They couldn't have any more to contrast.

Yet they were seen together everyday now for the past week. Today they are strolling the edge of the black lake...holding hands?

It was impossible to see how that could be.

*a week prior*

It was a normal day in the Slytherin dungeon. Draco and his goons were plotting their next attempt at humiliating Harry Potter, Pansy desperately trying to gain Malfoys attention and failing; much to your pleasure. You had a crush on the pug faced girl but she had no clue and nor did she care. Too caught up in her long time infatuation with the silver haired boy.

Your crush was growing stronger and stronger every day and your patience of just being her friend was growing thin. So of course you came up with a plan you were sure would work. Your best friend Rowan was not too fond of this plot to ignite a relationship between you and Pansy Parkinson, and at the moment they advised you to do the opposite of what you were telling them.

"It's Brilliant Rowan!" Your exclamation an obvious show of how you thought there was no way your plan could go wrong. Rowan could differ.

"I can't say the same (y/n)" Rowan said shaking her head, they're eyes filled with disapproval. "There are so many things that could go wrong with this, first you don't even know if he'll go along with it, second Pansy could completely ignore the fact that you and him are dating-"

You cut her off with a smile "Ah but she wouldn't." Waving your finger around as you said so.

"But you don't know that, do you?"

With a sigh you got up heading out to breakfast to commence your plan. First you were to head to the Hufflepuff table and seek out Cedric Diggory. He owed you a favor (you saw him cheat on a test and since mr. do no wrong would rather die than get caught cheating you exchanged your silence for a favor knowing you would need something from him, he was a prefect after all).

"Oi! Diggory" you said walking toward him and his group of friends who all shared a look of confusion.

"Hello (y/n)" Always the polite one, you internally rolled your eyes. "We need to talk"is all you said before turning your back and walking away, hoping he'd follow you through the great halls wide doors.

You stopped walking once you reached the courtyard, making sure no one was around to hear. He was right behind you as expected stopping in front of you, gesturing for you to begin what you needed to say. "I need to cash in that favor." You didn't want to give him too many details, not trusting him enough. "Well what is it that you need (y/n)" His voice sounded genuine and eager.

Suddenly regretting this you had to take a deep breath before spouting out "Be my boyfriend" Shock was written on his face "Listen i'm-"

"Ugh no, that's not was I meant okay?" You struggled to gather your words together "I like someone and I believe if I could get that person jealous...see what i'm getting at?"

"Oh, um s-sure" his expression changed into a wide grin. "You down?" You asked in need of reassurance.

"Of course. A deals a deal but shouldn't we have a couple rules or guidelines?"
