Lena Pov-The Gala

I got out my driver's car to see flashing lights of cameras and reporters coming over to me. I wore a black v- neck short dress, with black heels, my hair was in a bun, and red lipstick. I made my rounds to my guest, sharing stories and laughing. But there was no Y/n to be seen. I went looking for her, I was tempted to give up and move on , when there was commotion at the entrance. Reporters were in a little huddle around someone, finally breaking free of the crowd, Y/n walked over to me.

"Sorry, I'm late." Y/n apologizes. I couldn't speak a word. Y/n wore a nice tux with her hair down. My heart wanted her so bad, every single time I see her my love for her grows.

"I-it's fine, your here now." I say coming back to earth. Y/n laughs a beautiful laugh. A waiter comes by with drinks. Y/n grabs two and passes one to me.

"You look very nice tonight, Lena." Y/n looks at me with a smile. I was about to reply when a man came over to me.

"Lena." The man smiled pushing Y/n out the way.

"Maxwell Lord." I roll my eyes.

"Come on, let's go to the bar." Maxwell pulls me away from Y/n. I didn't want to make a scene so I went along.

Y/n Pov

Maxwell Lord pushes me to get over to Lena. What a jackass. Lena and I locked eyes before she turned away and put on a smile for the guest. Deep down, I knew Lena wanted to punch him in the face, but she didn't. She doesn't want to be known as Lex's sister, she wants to change that. I couldn't stand men like that, controlling everything they touch.

" Y/n L/n." A woman said behind me. I turned around to see the girl from Noonan's. I was confused and just stood there.

" Emily, right." I ask. Emily nodded and smiled.

" You must be asking why I'm here, well my parents are rich and what not and insisted that I come." Emily explains as we walk to the bar. We talked and laughed, until I looked over to see Maxwell put his hand on Lena's thigh. Lena moved his hand away, but he kept putting it back.

"Excuse me ." I say cutting Emily off. I walked over to Maxwell Lord and Lena and punch him right in the face. He falls to the ground with a bleeding nose. Everyone looks at me, Lena is surprised and shocked.

"Don't touch a woman without her permission." I frown and walk towards the entrance.
