January 1918It's the beginning of the new year 1918. Its still pretty cold here in Rural Tobolsk but its fine.
I helped Papa clean up the snow on the street as Olga pushes Alexei on a sled. We tried to keep ourselves busy from getting cold. "Papa you are getting tired you need to take a rest, i'll finish this" I said to Papa. "Okay just finish it and take rest" Papa says leaving me with a pile of snow to clear up.
"Good morning Sofia" Vasily greeted with a bright smile on his face.
"Good morning" i turned to face him and gave him a smile.
"Happy New year by the way"
"Theres nothing happy in new year if you if you have to start your morning like this" I scuffed.
"Woah aggressive on a early morning?" He said as he took a step back.
"I was not" i rolled my eyes at him.
"Kidding. Anyways have you eaten breakfast yet?" He asks as he stood next to me.
"Not yet, i have to finish this before anything" I said as i dropped the shovel and stretched my arms.
"Why dont you take a little break and eat?" He said as he took a sip of his coffee.
Is he stupid?
"I just said i have to finish this before anything" i repeated.
"Well i can feed you bread while you work" he says nervously.
What in the world is this guy up too.
"What feed me? Im not a baby" i scuffed.
"Okay well can i help you so you can eat?" He offered.
I letted out a heavy sigh as i faced him. Our eyes met i could tell he was scared from my intense facial expression.
"Fine" i sighed as i picked up the shovel that Papa dropped and handed it to him.
We both cooled down from our previous conversation and started to talk normally.
We have finished clearing up the rode. I dropped to the ground and letted myself relax awkwardly.
"Water?" Vasily handed me a glass of water. I gladly accepted it and chuged it in seconds. "More" i demanded. He ran to get me another glass of water and handed it to me.
"Thanks for the help" i smiled.
"No problem" he smiled as he offered a hand. I stuck out my hand as he helped me get up from the road floor.
I sat under the tree and ate breakfast. Yes breakfast under the tree. Vasily climbed up and ate with me.
I sighed out of boredom. "If you had a chance of being moved somewhere where would it be?" Vasily questioned out of the blue.
"Maybe in Paris or England" i answered.
"Good choice"
"Why do you ask?"
"Nothing im just curious to know" he scratched his head.
"How about you if you had a chance to live somewhere where would it be?" I questioned him back.
"With you"
"Huh?" I said to make sure i was not hearing things. He wants to live with me?
"Oh uh-" he laughed awkwardly as he continues his sentence. "I said in Denmark" He laughs awkwardly. Thats far from what i heard.
"Oh i thought you said something else" i chuckled.
