I burst out laughing. Peter following my lead. He had just told me how he and his uncle had once changed the salt and the sugar while aunt May was making cookies. Peter took a deep breath to calm himself down and continued talking.

"Later she made us eat the cookies. It was disgusting but definitely worth it!" I laughed again even harder this time. After calming me down Peter and I'd started telling each other funny stories about our past.

"You know by what you've told me your uncle was a really funny man." I said. Peter's smile died a little.

"Yeah he was." He looked down and suddenly I felt bad for him. I mean yeah my mother and father are dead and so is my sister and all I have are my brothers, but I know the pain he's going through. I put a hand on his shoulder and he looked at me. I started into his eyes. God, his eyes. I found myself staring in his eyes for a little longer then I was supposed to, so I started talking.

"If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here. I know you can never get over the pain of losing someone and I know the pain will give you no mercy." Peter smiled and nodded.

"Anyway it's getting cold, we should probably go back in the tower(they are still on the roof)." Peter stood up and offered me his hand. I gladly took it but before I could stand up I felt something strange. Peter's skin felt so soft and gentle against mine. In that second it was like everything disappeared and it was just the two of us. After what felt like days staying in that position I finally pulled myself off the ground.

The moment I was on my feet again I made eye contact with Peter again. His eyes were sparkling and I was sure there were real does in them.

I stirred in my bed. Why couldn't I sleep? Every time I closed my eyes there was a certain image in my mind, that kept me awake. Peter. I knew he was my best friend, but I couldn't help but feel something more for him. I stood up and went to the living room for a glass of water. As I opened the cupboard, however, I felt footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Wanda walking in the room.

"Can't sleep?" She asked. I nodded and poured water in two glasses. I handed one to Wanda.

"Thanks." She said.

"Why are you awake?" I asked her.

"Sometimes I just go to sleep later." I nodded.

"Why can't you sleep?" She continued.

"I don't know. Every time I close my eyes, the just can't stay closed. My mind drifts off to so many places and I can't even think of falling asleep."

"Where does your mind drift off to and don't say I don't know. I think you know I can read minds." Wanda said and I chuckled.

"If you can read minds I assume you've already done that?" I asked. Wanda shook her head.

"I haven't, I don't like to invade other people's privacy."

"Well, every time I close my eyes my mind makes up an image. I would love to say I don't know what the image is, but I don't want to lie to you."

"Who do you see?"

"How do you know it's a person?"

"Y/N, please I feel like both of us know who you're talking about." Wanda said, smirking.

"Alright fine! Every time I close my eyes I see Peter!" I said and Wanda laughed triumphally. I shook my head and smiled.

"You should go to bed now, you have "school" tomorrow." She said making air quotes around school. I groaned.
