Wren's POV
I woke up to my annoying twin blowing up my phone.After closing down the bar at 2 am the last thing I wanted was a call at 8 AM from my brother.I rolled her eyes before picking up the phone.
You better be dying I mumbled rubbing my eyes while I sat up.
Come to the tower Peter yelled and clicked off the line.I dropped the phone and threw my head back into my pillow.My phone pinged and I picked it up.
Peter:Tony and Pepper made breakfast not an emergency btw
Wren:so you woke me up for breakfast unimpressed Peter
Peter:Pepper said to call you and Morgan is asking for you.
I frowned knowing Pepper was just trying to include me in on their family time and Peter knew you couldn't say no when Morgan was involved.
Wren:I'll be there in twenty save me some food
Peter:gotcha
I climbed out of bed my poor muscles aching since I worked 16 hours for two days in a row.Oh the joys of being short staffed.I walked into my bathroom and turned the shower on and decided on my outfit for the day.After a hot shower I slipped into my olive green sundress and some simple sandals.I combed through my natural blonde hair and left it in my natural curls.I grabbed my purse and since I was only going to the tower I decided to walk.I took my time knowing that Pepper wouldn't dare give up my food.Her and Tony adored Peter and myself treating us like their own for the past couple years.They even attended our graduation from high school.I got to the tower and waited to hear Fridays voice.
"Welcome Ms.Parker they are expecting you"
"Thank you Friday"I walked up the pathway still always in awe of the amazing building.I walked through the front door and was immediately embraced by Pepper and Morgan.
Hi I breathed hugging them both.
We missed you the past couple days Morgan exclaimed.
"I missed you too Morgan"I walked over to Tony who directed his attention from Peter to myself.
"Hey kid"
"Hey"
"I told them to let you sleep"
"It's okay I'd rather eat with you guys anyways"He kissed my forehead as Pepper handed me a plateful of food and a coffee.
"Thank you"
"Your welcome..Morgan honey go play okay and then daddy will be in to help you get dressed"
"Okay mommy"She ran off giggling and Pepper smiled at her own daughter's cuteness.
Capsicle she shouted and Tony chuckled.
Here they come he teased ruffling peters hair who only groaned.They all busted into the kitchen for their morning meeting Morgan trying to be stealthy sneaking in behind Peter.
"Morgan you know you can't go with daddy"Pepper scooped her up and she frowned.
Please mommy she begging sporting her best puppy dog eyes.
"Why don't we get dressed and paint outside"
"Okay mommy"They both disappeared and I cleaned up the kitchen for Pepper.
Wren will you do my hair please Morgan giggled holding her hairbrush and two ponytails.
"Of course"
"Can I have braids today"
"Absolutely"I made quick work of doing quick double Dutch braids on her hair and she squealed when I showed her a picture.
Thank you She squealed hugging my neck tight.
"Your welcome Morgan"Your smile widened and Nat came upstairs.
"Hey Wands and I are going shopping this weekend do you want to come with us we could use some extra girl time"
"Uh maybe I'm not sure on my work schedules yet"
"Cool just let me know alright"
"Yeah sure I can do that"She took her coffee downstairs and you followed with stuff for the boys knowing they would all complain because she refused to serve them.I passed mugs around even though I weren't suppose to be in here.The boys thanked me quietly except James.
"Your welcome well I gotta go back to my flat so I'll see you next weekend for breakfast"
"Start visiting more kid we miss your smiling face"
Agreed Nat exclaimed.
Come see me at work I have bills to pay I snickered and walked out kissing Morgan's head and giving her a squeeze along with Pepper.
Come back soon Morgan pouted.
"I promise I will"I walked back to my flat and got ready for my shift at the bookstore.I put my hair up in a high ponytail and slipped on cardigan.I drove to the bookstore walking in to punch in.I put my purse underneath the counter.
Hey I didn't even hear you come in my coworker Alex announced from behind the mystery section.
No big deal I murmured signing into the computer.
"How's work been at your other job"
"Good tiring really short staffed"
"Well I'm glad your still here too"
"I love this place to much to ever leave"He smiled and nodded sitting next to me.I started to look through and write down my to do list after Alex finally left leaving me alone with all my favorites.No one ever compared to my romance novels.I wanted that happy ending always have.
"Wren are you alright"
Hm I mumbled a voice pulling me out of my thoughts to see Peter and Ned.
Yeah I'm okay I murmured.
"I brought you a coffee figured you would need it"
"Thank you so much"Holding the warm coffee in your hand.
It's a chestnut praline crème Ned boosted and I gave him a small smile as Peter rolled his eyes at his friend.
"Thank you"I was always aware of Ned's feelings toward me.I was flattered but very uninterested to say the least.The boys sat for awhile keeping me company while the small amount of customers came in.
"Alright going to head out sister because you know how Tony is early training day"
"No problem thanks again for the coffee and the company Spidey"Peter flashed a small smile squeezing you.
"Bye wren"
"Bye Ned"I finished up my shift and walked to my car after locking up.I drove home and walked into my flat.I locked the door and kicked off my shoes and jacket.I showered and out on some warm pjs.I slowly let sleep consume me.
