Breakfast

✨STORM'S P.O.V.✨
    I woke up the next morning to an empty bed, and immediately sat up in a panic. Rubbing both of my hands on either sides of my bed, I noticed that neither of my mates were present and I began to panic more. "Zander?! Kane?! Kray?! Ralphy?!" I yelled as I quickly jumped out of bed, almost landing gracefully on my face.

    Catching my balance, I heard the door that connects my room to Kragen's and Raphael's open with a bang and my mates along with my brothers came charging in. "Oh, baby you're awake!" Kragen said as he engulfed me in a warm hug. I inhaled his chocolatey and minty scent as I melted into his arms.

    "Please don't ever scare us like that again princess. I thought I lost you!" He said as he stared at me with pleading eyes.

    "I'm sorry Kray, I couldn't just leave him there." I said with my voice full of emotion, then I remembered. "Zander!" I said frantically as I pulled away from Kragen and quickly made my way towards him. I looked up into his smiling face as my eyes brimmed with tears. I raised his shirt as I examined his abs that only had a slight scar where the blade used to be.

    "I'm okay dragonfly you healed me." He said softly as I stared up at him.

    "I told you we could do it." Genesis said smugly causing me to roll my eyes, and chuckle a bit. I squeezed Zander in a tight hug as the tears flowed warmly down my cheeks. "Thank you so much Gigi!" I told her and she let out a huff of smoke.

    "What did you think I would let one of our mates die! You're the one that didn't want to heal him not me." I rolled my eyes once again before answering her back in my mind.

    "First off you asshole dragon, it's not that I didn't want to heal him. I didn't really believe we could. I couldn't even remember we had that power motherfucker!"

    "Excuses, excuses..." I blocked her out as I shook my head and looked up to my amused mate.

    "Arguing with Genesis I assume?" Zander said with a wide smile.

    "Don't even get me started." I said with a sarcastic huff.

"As much as we don't want to break up this little reunion," Caleb said pulling me back from Zander and I's little bubble. "I want to know what the fuck you were thinking?! You could have died Storm!" He said with a chocked voice and I put my head down in shame. I know that I had to save Zander and even though going to get him was out of my control. My actions while there wasn't.

"I'm sorry Caleb, and I know I've said that already but I couldn't leave him there. He was suffering so much." I said as I thought back to the disgusting words that left Ezra's dirty lips. Zander smiled at me sadly and placed a chest kiss upon my forehead before he began to speak.

     "It's not entirely her fault, Caleb. You knew that once her memories of me were triggered that she would come for me. Granted, we all believed we had a few more moths until then." He said with a small smile. "I'm happy to be out and with my love."

    "So what happened while you were there?" Tez asked and I gulped a bit. Shit.

    "Didn't Zander already fill you guys in?" I said nervously pulling my bottom lip between my teeth.

    "What did you do?" Caleb said accusingly, causing me to dramatically gasp.

    "Excuse you sir? How dare you accuse me of anything?! I didn't do nothing! I went in found where they were hiding Zander, and brung us out." I said with my arms folded.

"Okay, so how did he get the blade in his abdomen, that you kept apologizing for?" Tez asked knowingly with a raised brow. My eyes widened a bit and immediately darted around the room before landing on my delicious looking dragon king.
