Sans walked towards the second fountain that appeared. It was large and its glow was bright, clearly seen from the castle, even when it was far. It was a sign. Papyrus has stayed with Ralsei in case the Lighteners come down, the fated heroes. Sans is making sure where the fountain is exactly. As he neared the fountain, the wind started to pick up, blowing through his bones towards the fountain, through the halls. Where did the halls come from anyway? They certainly weren't there before. Neither was the forest that he passed. Many new things have come up since the Fountain appeared. Not good , he thought.
He walked through a corner, and there it was. The fountain had a bright blue glow, the wind stronger in the room it was in. It was different compared to the one behind Ralsei's castle, swirling in a mesmerizing way. Sans couldn't help staring at it with awe, walking a bit closer to it. The way it flowed like water, floating up to the sky, the sound of it soaring, it was luring him towards it. He walked closer to it, the fountain in arms reach now. It's wild how something that can seem beautiful can be so dangerous at the same time.
The wind suddenly grew stronger around the fountain, almost pulling Sans into it. He yelped, summoning a bone on the ground to quickly grab on to stay where he was. The wind kept getting stronger, the fountain seeming to get brighter. Sans squinted his sockets from the light, almost fully closing them. Until his soul abruptly came out of his chest. It was floating up towards the fountain, Sans panicking as it pulled his body, his grip starting to loosen from the force his soul had on him. He kept trying to hold on before a final push from the wind made him lose his grip. His body got swallowed by the fountain in a blink of an eye. And then the fountain calmed.
He could hear a voice in the dark, calling out his name. He tried opening his eyes, but he was met with darkness still. Then there was light.
