The Fountain flowed in the distance, its white glow giving light to the Darkener realm. Sans watched from the castle, through the window in his room. He lived there his whole life, waiting for the legend to come true, the fate he's supposed to play as the Prince's guard. And the only other guard other than his brother.
He sighed, turning away from the window and putting on his pauldrons, sliding it comfortably before putting on his hoodie, the blue a contrast to the black he normally wears. Once he has finished prepping, he heads out of his room, walking down to where the cauldron-where all the food is made- is. The Prince was already there, cooking something from it. Sans' brother, Papyrus, was next to him, helping the Prince cook.
"Oh, hello there Sans!" The prince said, smiling up at the skeleton.
"Hey Ralsei, what are you making?" He looked over the cauldron to see its contents. He was used to calling the Prince on a first name basis, there wasn't a point in being so formal anyway when there's no one else around.
"Some pasta! You want some?"
"For breakfast?" Sans chuckled, his brother shrugging with a smile on his face.
"It's pasta, it's perfectly fine for breakfast, brother!" Papyrus said, giggling a bit.
"Fair enough." Sans smiled as Ralsei mixed the contents inside the cauldron. After a few more minutes, a plate of pasta suddenly popped up, Papyrus quickly grabbing it before it fell back down into the water.
"That's one!" Ralsei giggled, making and catching the other plates and giving one to Sans. Sans chuckled as he looked down at his plate. These were the good days, the times when they all laughed and ate, the time they would play games or walk around to pass the time. The time they were still friends.
