Chapter 5 - New Playmate

We both sat there for a while, collecting our thoughts. Luffy laid down in the soft green grass, he spread his arms and legs out, he started to make a 'snow' angel in the grass. He giggled when he stood up to look down at his masterpiece.

"Shouldn't we get going, aren't they going to catch up to us if we just sit around here?" Law broke the silence.

"Oh yeah your right, we got to hurry to the theme park!" Luffy joyfully exclaimed, Law slightly cocked his head to the side like a confused dog.

"Straw hat, did you say we needed to find your crew?" Law questioned the younger boy's primary objective, he looked to be thing hard about his choice.

"Nope, if I go to the park they will know where to find me, besides it will be fun we can ride a roller coaster!" He chuckled, Law didn't like theme parks not even the slightest.

"Luffy I'm not going to play around with you," Law stated, he picked himself off the ground and stood on his feet. A noise started sounding from the collar around his neck.

"What is that?" Luffy asked as the beeping started gradually getting more intense, Law knew exactly what the beeping was.

"Fine, let's go to the park.." He muttered which made the buzzing halt, and a smile appeared on the younger boy's face. Luffy grabbed ahold of Law's hand and started pulling him alongside.

'What is this feeling?' Law asked himself as his face started to become hot and flustered. After a while of walking, they arrived at one of the entrances to the park.

"Come on Tarafal-guy! I wanna get food!" Luffy exclaimed, he once again dragged Law behind him, tugging on his hand. He approached a booth that had the words 'candy shop' written on the front.

"Do you have any meat?" Luffy asked the guy in the booth, he looked down at the boy with a confused look.

"Can't you read kid? No, I don't have any meat this is a candy shop." He informed Luffy, he looked puzzled as he stared off in the distance.

"I'll take two cotton candies!" He gave the man a happy smile. The man gave Luffy a nod and went back to prepare the sweet treat.

"Here you go, that will be 500 berries." The man handed them the sweet candy. Luffy looked childish as he jumped up and down taking the cotton candy in his hands.

"Hmm.." Luffy hummed and started digging around in his pockets, he pulled out a few loose changes and some other stuff. "Keep the change." The man leered at Luffy.

"What do you mean 'keep the change' there isn't even enough here to pay for the cotton candy!" He snapped at Luffy.

"Thank you food the food mister!" Luffy handed Law one of the sweet treats and they both started walking away.

"Brat, get back here and give me the correct amount! Hey, can you hear me, you dirty criminals!" The man shouted after them.

Luffy paid no mind though and just kept on walking. Luffy practically inhale his candy and he tossed the stick in the trash, he stopped in his tracks when something caught his eye.

"That looks fun, let go on that ride!" Luffy pointed at the sea horse marry go around. 'Isn't that a little childish, even for Luffy?' Law thought as he was pulled along.

"You're coming on it too, right Traffy?" Luffy asked, it's not like he could say no even if he wanted to.

"Of course," Law muttered, he got a few dirty looks from parents and just anyone in the area. A slave wasn't usually treated so kindly, it was a surprise to most people.

Law took a bite out of the candy as he followed after the younger boy. Luffy jumped on the back of one of the turquoise sea horses, and Law hopped on the crimson-colored one next to him.

"This is fun don't you think, Traffy?" Luffy beamed a smile at him. Law just glanced away, avoiding his gaze. This made Luffy confused, he wanted Law to have a good time, however, he just seemed to get more and more gloomy.

They went around on the spinning horses a few times before Luffy started to get bored and the ride slowed down before hauling.
