Chapter 7 - Night Time Ferris Wheel

We approached the giant theme park attraction, Law glanced at all of the different colored carts, they had small umbrellas seminally hovering above them.

"Hurry the park is going to close before we get to ride!" Luffy rushed to the entrance, there was a man who allowed us to pass through the gate and get in one of the pods. He looked confused, as Luffy walked past he noticed his facial expression change.

"Woah hold on there buddy, you know you can leave your slave out here, right? you don't need to take him on the ride with you?" The operator asked as they began boarding the ride. Luffy leered back at the man, which took him by surprise.

"Law isn't my slave, he's my friend and it shouldn't matter if he has one of those stupid collars around his neck. That doesn't make him any less of a person." Luffy stated as he boarded the ride, as for the operator, he didn't dare to say anything back.

Luffy sat across from Law, sitting his large brown bear down on his lap. The ride started off slowly as the cart was lifted up into the air.

"You don't always need to defend me, I'm pretty capable of holding my own against another person," Law uttered, resting his chin in the palm of his hand and gazed out the side window.

"Yeah, I know that, but you're my friend and I wanted to stick up for you." Luffy's words were mumbled by the back of the bear's head pressing against his lips.

"Torao, do you want to hold Mr.Pebble?" Luffy asked and once again held out the bear. He wanted to make Law's trip to the theme park enjoyable, however, the whole time he just looked sad.

"No, I don't want to hold your bear." He glanced over at Luffy and then he went back to gazing out the window. Luffy tried thinking of another plan but he was starting to run out of ideas.

"Fine then," Luffy muttered, he stood from his seat and approached the unaware Law and plopped himself down in the others lap.

"What are you doing?" Law asked, he was slightly startled. The younger one glanced up at him with his dark brown eyes, he put a smile on his face.

"If you don't what to hold Mr. Pebble, I will be your bear." Luffy chuckled at the slight tint of blush covering Law's face.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Law tried to conceal his blush by turning to face the window, and ignoring that Luffy was even there.

"Your always in a grumpy mood, I'm you're bear now so it's my job to make you happy." Luffy shifted around lap so that he could wrap his hands around the older one, and embrace him in a hug.

"I don't need your comfort." He uttered, however, he didn't try to fight against Luffy's embrace.

"Are you feeling happy now?" Luffy questioned, looking up at Law with his beady brown eyes, Law glanced down at him.

"Not really, I don't feel any different." Luffy frowned, he had one last plan. He back off of Law and placed his hands on both sides of the older boys face. He was turned to look Luffy in the eyes.

"What is it now?" Law questioned, he was unsure of what Luffy was planning.

"I'm going to kiss you." He remarked confidently. Law could hear the slight nervousness that resigned his voice, and he was convinced that Luffy wouldn't go through with it.

"Go ahead." Law leaned back in the cushiony chair waiting for Luffy to make his move. Luffy was a little taken back, he wasn't expecting Law to be okay with it. 'No turning back now.' He thought.

He started leaning closer to Law slowly so the older one would have a chance to change his mind. Little by little Luffy closed the gap, he prepared for their lips to lock by shutting his eyes tightly.

Luffy's heart pounded in his chest, and butterflies fluttered around his stomach. 'Am I really going to go through with this? Me and Traffy are friends, right?' He could feel the faint breaths that the older one took. The lips were a centimeter apart from each other and Luffy started questioning if this was right.

Clank...

The ride suddenly halted sending the pod that the two were in to start swinging. It took Luffy by surprise, he was launched backward into his seat.

"Straw hat Luffy, we know your up there, make this easy on all of us and stay where you are." Luffy glanced over the edge to see a swarm of marines surrounding the ride, with them stuck at the highest point of the wheel.
