Suspence Alone

I have decided to take a trip back to Australia. Back home. I am bringing Luke with me. I haven't told him about bringing him to Australia yet. All he knows is that we are going on a trip on Friday.
I should text him and tell him. Or I shouldn't. I guess it's going to be a surprise then.

Today is the day that I try to get Luke to come with me. I have two plane tickets, clothes, my phone, and food. I will survive this plane ride.
"Oh and to survive Luke, I will need these." I said to myself picking up a pair of ear buds.
"Ring, ring,ring, ring " my phone went off.
It was Luke.
Me: hey Luke
Luke: hey!
Me: you ready?
Luke: I have been forever! Where should we meet up.
Me:ummm, how about I pick you up.
Luke: sounds great, see you then.
Then I heard the phone click. This was going to be so suspenseful. Knowing if he would go or not. Uhhggg.
I got my car keys and my bags then headed out the door. I slowed and quickened my speed to Luke's house. Speed on how good it would go. Slow on how bad. I now regretted not telling him. Mabey he had plans for this week. I was going to either ruin them or make then good. I might be going on this trip alone.
I saw Luke at the corner of a stoplight. His eyes staring down at his phone, his hair a little flopsided from the wind. My heart pounded and my palms sweated on the wheel. I wiped them on my pants quickly before he saw.
He climbed in and I smiled solemnly but fakely at the same time. He smiled back and put his phone in his pocket.
"What is there to be so nervous about. It's just Luke." I said to myself but not aloud to where anyone (luke) could hear.
"So....where we going?" Luke asked and I was tensed by him asking that question.
"Ummm.... It's a surprise" I said nervously.
"OK, I like surprises" Luke said cheerfully.
"Good" I said switching on the radio.

There were no words between Luke and I until I pulled up to the airport.
Luke's fingers gripped the seat, making me more nervouse to tell him.
"Why are we at an airport?" Luke said confused.
"Umm. OK. Luke, we are at the airport because I wanted you take a trip back to Australia with me. Its not forever." I bit my lip waiting for him to say something.
"Sky, I would love for anything in the world to come with you back home but..... I cant." Luke had just said the exact words I loathed for him to say. It was like taking a bullet into the heart.
"Well Luke, it's OK but you can keep the ticket anyways. " I smiled getting out from the car. I got my bags and went towards the airport. I held back tears that I didn't even know why were there. It wasn't even that sad.
"Good bye sky" I heard Luke yell.
"Bye, Luke" I said turning to force a smile.

When I got to the plane I put my stuff a I've me and took a seat. Alone. Alone, without Luke. The person I wanted in the seat next to me. But now I will be stuck with someone else. I wonder what goof it would be.
I was alone.

@uthor$ note: hey guys. I love yall and i know my chapters aren't as long as they used to be. I have been splitting all the chapters smaller to update quicker. So im not veing lazy i just hate for yall to have to wait. Sorry and for all of you people that i gave parts to, I will get your new parts in soin :).
