Missing Pieces

A black canvas is the only thing in Dipper's sight. Nothing but the aura of emptiness, baroness, and bleakness surrounded the atmosphere. It was as though something had completely drained his psyche of any and all thoughts. This only continued to grow heavier with each passing moment. With a busy mind like Dippers normally it would be flooded with theories, ideas, and various other things. For it to be widely void was definitely alarming to him. How did he get to be like this? Did something happen? Dipper couldn't seem to figure it out, he was too tired. As he was about to surrender a small beam of light appeared and it's warm sensation began to draw Dipper to it. Could it be a ray of hope? With all his strength he began to charge forth towards light and each time he got closer a voice would echo loudly. Pinetree is the name the voice is calling him by. Although, Dipper couldn't understand why this voice was calling him that, all he knew was that he needed to find the one behind that soothing voice.

The buzzing sound of a cell phone alarm blared allowing Dipper to carefully escape the empty canvas. This left him in a state of wonder of the mysterious being behind the voice. Eyes flutter open as Dipper slowly begins to regain his equilibrium. He is relieved yet oddly surprised to be back in his apartment since the last thing he remembers is that he was at school discussing his financial troubles with Jackson. With the feeling in his body coming back he looks over to see on his phone that it is one in the afternoon on Saturday. However, the chat he had with his friend happened on Tuesday morning, how was this possible?! As the brunette was gently raising up to figure this out a sharp pain in his lower back prevented him from moving up any further. Okay, things were definitely getting a bit strange.

Jumping ahead a of couple days, a pain in his lower back, and feeling extremely disoriented Dipper just couldn't seem to put the pieces together. The more he thought about this, the harder his head pounded from the overwhelming exhaustion. Suddenly, a ping on his phone rang, it was a text from his sister Mabel. Pressing the screen he opens the message and reads it with narrow eyes.

'Hey, bro bro! Just reminding you that I and Pacifica will be arriving shortly! Can't wait to go clubbing later~!' Dipper read while sensing a happy and cheerful vibe from her message.

That's right now he remembers. He is going to that new club Mabel had been talking about for a while. Thank goodness he at least remembered that, Dipper chuckles in relief.

'Alrighty cool! See you soon!' Dipper responds to his sister.

The positive energy from the message was enough to get his body moving and out of bed in spite of the annoying pain. Along with seemingly forgetting the strange shift in time. A quick shower, teeth brushing, and a comfortable outfit later Mabel and Pacifica arrived at Dippers apartment complex. He pressed the button to let them in the building and shortly they arrived at the door. Dipper opened the door to let the girls in, he was delighted to see them and so were they.

"Hey bro! Long time no see!" Mabel smiles brightly while giving her brother a hug.

"Yea no kidding! How's school treating you?" Dipper wondered.

"Oh, the usual! Always busy!" Mabel chuckles loudly.

"Hey Dipper how's it going?" Pacifica greets him.

"Good I suppose, how about you Pacifica?" Dipper wondered.

"Alright, my father just got the building site approved so when Mabel is finished fashion school we can open up our store" Pacifica happily shares.

"That's great to hear! I'm so excited to see the store" Dipper smiles warmly at them.

Seeing his sister and friend standing there with their smiles made Dipper almost completely forget the dilemma he was dealing with from earlier. The one thing he couldn't seem to shake was the voice that called out to him. It was still playing in the back of his mind and like an unbearable itch, it wouldn't go away. Why Pinetree? What is so significant about that name? Dipper thought to himself as the girls were rambling on. His puzzling daze was quickly interrupted by Mabel's hand waving in front of his face.
