"Good morning, gorgeous." Emily slowly opens her eyes. I brush a piece of hair out of her face. She lets out a soft sound, which I take as a good morning. "I've got some bad news." Her eyes shoot open.

"What?"

"I have to work in a bit." Emily scoots closer to me and puts her head on my chest.

"What about me?" I brush my hand through her hair. If I could I would keep her by my side all day.

"What if you grab a book and just tan on the beach?" She looks up at me. "Then you'll be close by when I have a break." The corners of her mouth curl up.

"Sounds good! But don't you eat breakfast?"

"Not really." Emily nods. "Sometimes I get something at the bar, if I'm really hungry." As a bartender you're just not a morning person.

"So we won't be having breakfast together?" Emily pouts at me. It is very endearing.

"Do you want to maybe have some at the bar?" She nods cheerfully, her eyes even glisten. Emily gets out of bed to change. I can still catch her beautiful figure from the back before she enters the bathroom.

Whistling we walk into the bar together, hand in hand.

"¡Buenos días!" I call out enthusiastically. The waitresses are already busy polishing the silverware. Amy shoots me a confused look. I can see how her glance goes from me to Emily and back.

"What's your deal?"

"Nothing!" I yell after her when I continue my path to the bar. Eduardo is so occupied by cutting the fresh fruit that he doesn't look up.

"Good morning, Harry!" Then his eyes fall on Emily. "Oh, good morning, preciosa!"

"Good morning!" we say in unison.

"Do you have a bowl of fresh fruit for this lady?" I ask.

"Of course! I'll go grab a bowl." Eduardo disappears into the kitchen.

"You don't mind being here with me?" I look at her confused and shrug my shoulders.

"Should I mind?" Emily turns her face away from me.

"Maybe because of people you know," she says softly. There's an insecurity in her voice. I wonder where this is coming from. As if yesterday I had a completely different Emily with me. As a sign of reassurance, I press a kiss on her cheek.

"Don't worry," I whisper into her ear.

"Guys, no PDA please," Eduardo jokes. He hands the bowl of fresh fruit to Emily.

"Thanks," she says softly.

Together we eat the fruit on the terras, without saying a word. Did I overstep yesterday? Should I not have done some things? This morning she was completely different. I get insecure from all the thoughts running through my head.

"So I'll see you on the beach later?" I break through the silence. With bright blue eyes, she stares questioningly at me. "I need to get changed soon," I clarify. Emily nods understandingly. I feel her scoot closer to me. As if she wants to stay in this moment a little while longer.

"I will be right there on the beach." She points to the lounge beds at the edge of the beach. She places a kiss on my cheek.

"Busted!" Both of us jerk back. Eduardo stands in the middle of the terras. He watches us as if he has been standing there for a while already. "Hey troublemaker, I need to steal my buddy away from you today," he says to Emily. She starts to laugh.

"Alright, fine." She scoots away from me again to give me some room to get up.

"Look at that, a woman after my own heart! Listens to me immediately. Tonight you can do whatever you want with him!" Eduardo disappears into the bar. His last words have made this whole situation very awkward.
