Tears stream down my face and my thoughts are running wild. I have no idea what just happened or what it means. It hurts is all I know for sure. So much so that I am walking down these same streets crying again. Without hesitation I walk straight to me hotelroom, but once there I realise I didn't bring my bag. I only grabbed my phone in a hurry. I run my hands through my hair and am utterly confused. I can't go back there, can I? With a sigh I walk back to the elevator. I decide to sit down in the lobby to try to catch my breath.
The numbers on my phone move under my thumb as I am searching for someone to call. For a second I stop at the sight of Niall's name. I brush a tear from my cheek and keep scrolling. My dad it says on the screen. I press on it and start to cry even more at the thought of talking to my dad. I hope he can answer.
"Hey! I wondered when you were going to call. Everything alright, sweetheart?" His voice causes my tears to keep flowing and I can't get words out of my mouth.
"Huh?"
"Dad saw Niall in the supermarket. He is back at work, but I have not seen you at home yet." I let out a sob. Niall has completely carried on with his life back home while I feel like mine is falling apart even more. "Oh sweetheart, what's wrong?"
"I don't know anything anymore," I blurt out.
"What happened?"
"Too much, Dad. I don't even know where to start." The loving voice of my Dad helps me calm down slowly. Despite the tears still streaming down my cheeks I can at least produce some words.
"Let me make a cup of tea, then we can discuss this in detail." There's a hint of a smile on my lips at the thought of my Dad making tea right now. Typically him. At the thought of home, I long to embrace him and bury my crying face into his shoulder. "Tell me, sweetheart."
"I don't know where to start."
"Let's start with why Niall is back and you're still there?" I sigh and start my story with how Niall responded to my interest in Harry. How Niall and I fought, how he got wasted and confessed his love for me. It calms me to go through it all and tell my Dad.
"That's why Niall went back," I close off. My tears have dried and I brush what is still left of it off my face.
"And the boy? You're with him now?"
"Harry. Yes, no, sort of. I don't know."
"If you like him that much, why are you so upset right now?"
"I was with him last night, but this morning there was this other girl at the door with a suitcase and everything."
"A girl?" I hear how he takes a sip of his tea and I smile at the image of him staring over the mug with a pondering look. "Do you know who she is?"
"No."
"Then it could have been anyone, sweetheart. Maybe it's his sister." I shake my head.
"She said she had also slept in his shirt. The shirt I was wearing."
"You were sleeping in his shirt? That is so cute!"
"Dad!" I laugh. "Not the point. She asked Harry how many girls I would make for the summer. Like he's some kind of playboy."
"And is he?" I think about his question.
"I don't know. He does get a lot of female attention."
"Does he respond to it?"
"Not that I know of." There's silence on the other end of the phone. "I don't know what to do, Dad?"
"Sweetheart, I can't decide for you, but it sounds to me like you really care about this boy. I am not sure you can fix this in two days, but maybe we can move your flight to next week. Then you will have a bit more time to figure out what the two of you feel for each other."
