Awaken soft squids

Darkness. Inside every heart is darkness. But with darkness comes light. Light brings hope to those effected by the damages of the darkness. Coincidentally, darkness is how this story begins. Not because something is going down but because our protagonist is quite literally waking up.
As Marie's eyes open she thinks only one thing. That thing is what she'll be having for breakfast. Maybe some toast, perhaps some cereal. Or maybe she'll just have the usual, pure solidified darkness, milked from the hearts of the darkest beings in the world. As she puts the solid black orbs into her microwave her cousin, Callie, whom she lives with, happens to enter the room. "Do you have any idea who ate all of the doughnuts?" Callie mumbles to her most likely homosexual cousin. Marie has no fucking clue what Callie is talking about so she ignores her and continues to stare soullessly into the microwave. "Ok then guess I'll just buy some more" Callie says to her very obviously zoned out cousin. Marie still refuses to care at all and continues to stare at the mysterious orbs in her microwave.
Marie turns her head slightly to the timer on her microwave to realise it still has quite a while to go until her deliciously juicy orbs are finished. "Callie, wait!" Marie runs after Callie before she can set out for some doughnuts. "How about instead of doughnuts we order some fast food? I'm thinking McDonalds."
"Marie, my beloved cousin, McDonald's is for piss assess who love to eat their own shit." Callie said calmly.
"Well what were you thinking we should get?" Marie said in her average monotone voice.
"Jack in the box because we are less likely to develop depression from the workers there." Callie said with a passive aggressive tone.
"Well maybe we should flip a coin?" Marie suggested.
"There's no need for that, lovely ladies!" A mysterious voice said from the clouds. "It's me Mac tonight, former McDonald's mascot! I'm here yo convince you that our food isn't laced with rat poison!" Said Mac Tonight
"What the fu-" before Callie could finish her sentence another unkown voice interrupted her "Listen here you fucking cold burger selling fuck! It's me Jack Box famous fast food mascot for Jack in the box and I'm gonna kick you fucking ass, music man!" Jack said with pure rage in his voice.
"Okay business bitch let's go!" Mac said.
"Jesus christ" Marie said with what was probably a surprised look.
"Perhaps we should go back inside and reconsider our options." Callie whispered to Marie.
The Squid sisters slowly went back inside without the raging mascots noticing. Callie and Marie sit by the front window watching as the fast food titans clash with each other. A few hours pass and Mac and Jack have now started shooting magical energy from their body parts somehow and the plush squid sisters begin to consider calling somebody to put an end to this battle of the angry capitalists.
"Who do you recommend we call?" Callie asked
"I think I know just the person, actually" Marie says surprisingly quick.
Marie leaves to make the call
10 minutes later Marie returns.
"Who did you call?" Callie asked
"Marina. I was thinking we would just out number Jack and Mac." Marie replied.
"So in other words you have no actual plan to stop these greasy middle aged men outside our house from destroying the entire area?"
"Yeah that's right." Marie casually responded.
Mac Tonight and Jack Box are still having a dragon ball style fight outside and have already destroyed most of the city. Marie's plan is very obviously flawed but what other choice does she have? The police definitely won't help so that's out of the question. Suddenly there's a knock at the door. "That must be Marina! Thank goodness!" Callie exclaimed.
"What was I called here for? Marie sounded desperate." Marina said as soon as Callie opened the door.
"Well you may have noticed the food mascots beating the hell out of each other outside. We need help stopping them if you don't mind."
"Help? This seems like a job I can do by myself! Just like killing a couple of cockroaches!" Marina said proudly.
"I mean if you insist..." Marie said in a worried tone I think it's kinda hard to tell with her.
Marina walks up to the food mascots and their attention is turned to her. "Who do you think you are?" Jack exclaimed.
"The one who's going to kick both of your asses that's who."
Marinas eyes Suddenly started to turn green with some strange flames as her limbs became ingulfed with the green fire seemingly consuming her. "We all have darkness in our hearts. We are told to suppress it so we don't hurt the ones we love. But if you learn to harness this darkness it is theorised that the good hearted could use it for good. That is what I intend to do. By kicking you ugly asses!" Marina explained.
Mac turned to Jack as they both seemed to nod at eachother. They walked up to Marina seemingly now teamed up with a weird look in their eyes. Suddenly, right before Marina is able to throw her first punch Mac Tonight is able to grab her from behind as Jack Box puts his hand on here forehead as her and his powers seem to fuse. Mac let's go of Marina as she is unable to do anything to stop this unknown plan of theirs.
"Let the darkness ingulf your heart. Destroy all who protect the light and seek out as much darkness you can get. The more you absorb the stronger you become." Mac and Jack said in unison.
Suddenly they disappeared into thin air. Marina shot up into the sky to seek out the darkness so that no one who has light in their heart is left.
Callie and Marie have no clue what the genuine fuck just happened and stand at their window absolutely gobsmacked.
"So it seems we may have a bigger problem now, Marie."
"Yes. Yes it does, Callie."
And so Callie and Marie set out to find someone to help them defeat the evil that has ingulfed their beloved friend.
