A madman in the dark

As they wonder through the wood and as the day fades into night, Callie and Marie seem to be lost. "I've got no service here" Callie says to her very sarcastic cousin.
"Me neither. Maybe we should wonder further before we start making huts out of sticks."
They walk for another 45 minutes until they stumble upon a strange looking castle on an island in the distance. No boat is to be found and the so called squid sisters aren't the best when it comes to water so once again they hit a dead-end. But something catches their eyes, they see some yellow gremlin man seemingly fighting some giant marsupial at the top of the castle. As rodent seems to win, knocking the yellow thing to the forest. It is a very pathetic sight but at least now they can ask this thing where they are and if it can help them out with Marina.
"Excuse me, little critter, do you mind telling us where we are?" Callie shouted at the thing.
"What!? Who said that?" It replies.
"Um, it was me. I'm Callie and this is my cousin Marie. We were looking for somebody to help us with a problem we had involving our friend and two American fast food mascots." Callie said.
"What? Did you happen to eat any strange fruit before we met?" The absolutey PSYCHOTIC gremlin said MENACINGLY!
"No this is all genuine." Marie said once again in her monotone ass voice.
"Well I guess I could let you could explain it to me. But first, my introduction! I am the great Doctor Neo Cortex! The greatest scientist in all of the world!" The ugly ass ghoulie said rather loudly and obnoxiously.
"So great that you were defeated by a weird furry creature?" Marie said confused.
"I have a gun and will kill you." Cortex said staring into her soul, or rather what Marie has instead of a soul.
"Okay okay let's not get into an argument this quick after meeting eachother! Anyway let us explain the whole situation!" Callie then began to explain all that has happened prior to this very moment.
"Now that you've explained it it does make a lot more sense." The ugly ass yellow triangle bitch said. "I guess I could be able to help. Come. Let us go back to my castel aka my super awesome secret laboratory where I do super awesome and evil experiments!"
They began to follow this not at all suspicious deformed Simpson back to his evil castle where Cortex began making plans on how to destroy Marina before being stopped by Marie which led to them then beginning to plan how to cure a heart of total darkness consumption.
"We have another friend who lives with Marina named Pearl that we could ask for help. They've always seemed pretty close." Callie explained.
"They seem like she could at least take some of the darkness out of her heart. They are really good roomates." Marie added.
"The why the fuck did you come here?" Cortex, being the stupid fucking rude bitch he is, said.
"We were lost dumbass." Marie snapped back at him.
"So I guess we're gonna go see Pearl! Thanks for the help that you didn't give us, Cocksex!" Callie said rather loudly.
"W-Wait let me come with you guys! I can't take being in this castle any longer I barley get out anymore! I need this, please!" Cortex pathetically pleaded.
"Fine I guess you seem pretty good with machines and stuff." Marie said without hesitation.
So the three set out to find Pearl in the lost world of her apartment.
As they walk across deserts and jungles, as they sail the seven seas, they finally reach their destination. Pearls apartment...
Callie knocks the door to this majestically placed door and it begins to open.
"Callie? Marie? What are you two doing here?" It was Pearl looking rather confused as she wasn't expecting any guests at this time.
"First, let us explain what happened. It involves Marina." Marie then explained every second of what happend prior in extreme, uneeded detail.
"My beloved roomate? Turned to the darkness? That not like her... those mascots have done something horrible to her heart. I'll do anything to save Marina." Pearl said with determination in her eyes. "She's my roomate, after all."
Suddenly Marina crashes through the wall of the living room. One look at her roomate, Pearl, and she seems starstruck. Almost as if the darkness is draining from her heart.
"Pearl..." Marina whispered to herself.
"They must be more than just roomates..." Callie said "they must be... best roomates!"
Marina reaches out her hand to Pearl and vice versa. But before they could feel the loving touch of eachother once again, Marina snaps out of it as the darkness kick back in and now nothing is going to distract her from her goal of destroying the light. Marina flies full speed and Marie Knocking her out of the building through the wall as they both tussle around like demonic children. Marina throws Marie at the wall at the end of the alleyway and charges up one final blow to finish the weakened Marie off. All Marie can do is watch as her life is about to be destroyed. Marina shoots a massive ball of dark energy at Marie. Marie closes her eyes. Suddenly... nothing. She opens her eyes to see none other than Doctor Neo Cortex standing in front of her having absorbed the energy ball in some sort of weapon.
"I guess you didn't account for me! The great Neo Cortex! Hiya!" He shoots the orb back at Marina hitting her right in the chest knocking her away. Cortex helps Marie up "I honestly forgot you were here but I'm glad you were." Marie stated. Marina gets back up and give Cortex and Marie an evil glare. The darkness has once again covered her whole heart. "I'll be back. And next time I'll be more prepared for you ugly ass friend!" Marina flies up into the sky and zooms away.
Callie and Pearl run down to Marie and Cortex to check if they're okay.
"That wasn't her back there. I know her. She would never do something such as this." Pearl said. "I'm going with you to help her. I love her too much not to." "Pearl really is the best roomate ever..." Callie whispered to her cousin. So they set out once again to find a way to save their friend from the darkness in her heart.
