"Can I know your name ma'am?" A tall woman wearing a simple dress asked as Jennie put her mask on and smile warmly at the latter.
"Jennie Kim."
"Please proceed inside, Mrs. and Mr. Kim is already waiting for you." She said as she signalled the guards to oped the door which they gladly did.
The room is huge as it's expected, ladies wearing commonly a black, white, silver, and cream colored dresses filled the room altogether with man's wearing suits and tuxedos. She felt out on the crowd because it's obvious that she's the only one who's wearing red.
"Hey, sweetie." Her mom greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and complimented her look. "I knew it! Your absolutely stunning with that dress."
"Am I not overdressed?" Jennie asked and her mom shook her head disapprovingly. "Come here, your dad needs to see you."
"Where is he?" Jennie asked as she didn't saw him after the talk in the living room. "He's talking to some possible collaboration with the Lee pharmaceutical company."
Her mom guided her through the crowd as they made their way to her father's direction who's now busy talking to an old man whom she assumes is the current CEO of the pharmaceutical company.
"Excuse me gentlemen." Her mom excused as she push her daughter to face her husband and some of his close friends.
"You look gorgeous sweetie." Her dad complimented to her and hugged her a little to show an affection.
"This pretty lady here is my daughter Jennie." Her dad introduced her so she smile tightly and bowed to show respect to the older.
"You have such a pretty daughter Jaejoong." One of them complimented which her mom replied immediately. "Of course, she's my daughter."
A series of laughter could be heard because of Jennie's mom sudden burst. "Of course, she came from fine visuals."
"By the way I'm Lee Jeonghan." The older offered a handshake which Jennie gladly took and retrieve after.
"Choi Jiwan." The other one introduced so Jennie bowed at him too.
Their conversation only revolved around business talks so Jennie excused herself to get some drinks. Juice isn't available so Jennie doesn't have any choice but to have a wine instead.
"Jennie Kim." A voice of a lady called her making her turn around and be met by a familiar face. She's a goddess with her visuals especially when she smiled forming a heart like shape.
"Kim Jisoo, right?" She asked making sure that she remembers her name right. The girl then removed her mask and went near her and offered a hug which Jennie gladly accepted.
"I thought I'm not going to meet you again, but look! It's just been week since I met you in the hospital." Jisoo was one of the people whose involved with the fight she had in tje hospital. Yup, the one that almost make her study abroad.
"You look gorgeous, but even more if your going to remove your mask." She requested which Jennie did. "You look stunning."
"Thank you. You look amazing with your black dress." She complimented back as it is a fact that can't be denied.
"Oh, c'mon it's nothing compare to you, lady in red." Jisoo said that made Jennie chuckle.
"Why are you here though?" Jisoo asked curiously as the event is exclusive for some personalities. "My parents are invited, and they tagged me along."
"Are they a business man?"
"My dad owns a chain of hospitals around Korea and a pharmacies." She replied which the latter immediately nodded at. "How about you?"
"I insisted to go with my brother. He's a business owner too." She proudly stated which made Jennie smile warmly. It reminds her on how much she wants to have a sibling that's why she kept Hanbin around.
"You two should meet. Where is he again?" She asked talking to herself as Jisoo roamed her eyes around the area so Jennie also did even though she doesn't know what he looks like.
"Jisoo." A tall and young man called her making the two girls look at his direction. "Jin, what are you doing here?"
"I'm should be the one asking you that." He strictly stated that even Jennie herself felt chills running on her spine. "Is he your brother?"
"No, he's my boyfriend actually."
"Let's go home now. Your brother called me to fetch you." He stated which left confusion on the girl's face. "He said it? But I came here with him."
"No more questions we should go." He stated putting his hands on her waist protectively.
"Good evening everyone, the dance auction is starting soon. Please be prepare and wait for a minute."
"The dance is starting, we should stay for a bit--" Jisoo argued but Jin cut her off again. "No more buts. We're going home now."
Jennie just stared at the couple bickering as she stood frozen in front of them. Looking at the two, they doesn't have plan to stop anytime soon so Jennie chose to interject on their argument.
"You should go now Jisoo, looks like he can't wait to be with you." Jennie playfully said that made Jisoo smile unknowingly.
"But, we just met, I want to spend more time with you just for tonight." She pouted while Jennie let out a soft chuckle.
"I'm going to call you soon. Let's meet again yeah?" She suggested which Jisoo finally agreed to.
The couple bid their goodbyes as Jennie slowly walks backward and gave a small wave of goodbye to Jisoo.
She was about to turn around when a tall and masculine man was unknowingly standing on her back making her stumble but then stopped as she got a hold of his shoulder with his hands on her waist.
His smell filled Jennie's nostrils, her hands feeling his wide shoulders and she can feel his long fingers on the side of her waist.
She was about to stand up when her heels slipped again that made her hold on the collars of the stranger's suit pulling him nearer, their face only an inch away form each other.
"Whoa whoa.. careful pretty girl." His deep voice rang repeatedly on Jennie's ear like a music. He had his mask on but that didn't hide on how good looking he is.
His dark brown orbs that stares at her, his nose that is obviously tall despite of being covered, the small mole on the tip of his nose and the small yet plump lips that displays a smirk.
Seeing this, Jennie pushed him up and successfully removed herself from the man's grip. Embarrassed by the event just a seconds ago, Jennie bowed her head and apologize to the guy and walk past him without waiting for his response.
"Cute."
Even it was low and almost a whisper, Jennie heard it clearly making her halt her steps and look at him with her eyebrows meeting each other.
