It felt like thousands of years to wait for the school to end and finally the bell ring indicating that it was time to go bcsk to home . We were now packing our things to go back to our home and I'm still ignoring Jiaqi, will until he will accept to not fight with anyone. Jiaqi P.O.V

School ended and Esther is still ignoring me. I know she's angry with me when I didn't accept the promise to not have a fight with anyone but how can I not?? When Chengxin, the boy and my best friend who played with her feelings told me to stay away from her and him trying to get back on her life..

I love her and I dare not to see her cry and repeat the past as it hurts me to see her cry...

Now I'm waiting for her to go out of the school I'm hiding behind the tress , as if she saw me then she will probably try to ignore me and run away from me. So I'm waiting for her behind the trees . I saw her exit the school and part her ways with Anna and Junqi.. I got out from behind the trees and started walking towards her!

Esther P.O.V

As we exit the school, we part our way as Anna's and Junqi's walk on the left side and me on the right side as their house doesn't go this way.

After a few minutes of walking I can feel a presence behind me, following me!! I'm not gonna lie!! I'm sacred, what if it was a kidnappers...

My hands were slowly going to the side chain of my bag taking out the pepper spray that I always keep with me but before I could turn back and press it, the person behind me pulled my hand and turn me around, called my name and making eye contact with him

My heart almost jumped out because of how scared I was. I released a sigh at the sight of the person before me It was Jiaqi. I was gonna speak something but remembered that I was still ignoring him. I was gonna walk away but he tighten the grip on my hand

"Jiaqi, it hurts" I said as he immediately let go of the hand " Oh sorry but please don't go. Please let me speak" he spoke. I gave in and he nodded..

"I know that you don't want me to get hurt" he started "and you don't want me to fight but I can i not when Chengxin says that he stills like you and will go back to your life soon and I want to protect you as you are my best friend" he continued.. My heart ached a little bit when he said bestfriend but "Jiaqi I already told you that I don't like him anymore and you are being a fool if you are thinking that i will let him back in my life again" I spoke " "So please promise that you won't fight with anyone" he didn't say nothing but nodded and the next step he did made me froze in my spot again. He hugged me again. My heart were beating fast and I can sense that he can hear it too!!

"Why is your heart beating so fast ??" He asked " Do you kind of like me or not ?" He teased as I slapped his shoulders jokingly " in your dreams" I denied which is a lie.( Yes I do like you!!! No, I mean I love you)
